Account Recovery

Would greatly appreciate some pointers. Apparently my account was hacked and who ever did it managed to me banned. I have been totally unsuccessful in getting in touch with play station. After waiting for a live agent for 20 min, I got a message that there systems are down and to try again. This has happened a few times. I would just like to verity if there was any purchases made on the account. My kids use use the console, honestly I can barely turn it on. Just getting very frustrated with Sony, honestly seems like they are going out of there way to make it so painful to try to fix the issue that a person would just give up.

Any ideas on how I can actually get in touch with a live person either by phone or chat? Thanks in advance.
