Here's the deal. The only gaming I like is Flight Simulator ( I own Great Planes Realflight), First person shooters that aren't so fast I can't keep up,
and my number one passion is Formula one driving.

I have a brand new Dell XPS 220 maxed out on ram, and video card, and of course a dual core processor, all on 5mg cable.

I bought F1 2001 from EA, and I can't get the car to respond in any way.

I DO NOT own a steering wheel, just a playstation type controller.

The only gaming system I have owned was the original PlayStation, and Sony had an AWESOME F1 game on it. I just used the Play station controller and had no problems.

My questions are as follows:

Do the current game boxes provide the same performance as my PC?

Do you think a quality steering wheel controller would make F1 2001 driveable on my PC?

Money is no object, I'm disabled and need something to keep me busy.

Any info would be very helpful.

feel free to email me [email protected]

Well firstly I'd honestly say ditch F1 2001 by EA and pick up a copy of Grand Prix 4, there's loads of MODs for that game and there's already a 2006 MOD pack out for it, then grab yourself a Logitech MOMO Wheel and you'll be set.
