After a year delay to get the effects up to par... the first trailer is here for the October release. Super excited for the 17-MINUTE CONTINUOUS OPENING.... (no cuts). The man has pushed and innovated in long shots with Children of Men and it looks like he's taking it to a whole new level. Bare in mind these are not simple dialogue scenes but full on action scenes.

So, did I basically watch the film with this trailer? Because unless this is an hour of the characters falling through space, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot else to this movie.

The trailer is basically the opening of the film, or like the first third. Where all the calamity happens. Most of the movie is Clooney and Bullock stuck in space trying to get home... somehow, with only their suits and a tether to keep them alive (and sane). And from that much of it is Bullock.

The movie is being described as a character study for Bullock's character. It likely won't be everyone's kind of movie, some reactions even say its bad. But for those who enjoy Cuaron's style, and a good character study it sounds like it could be amazing.

I'm guessing you hated 127 hours.
