Its kinda the same deal with GTAIV.
There are some really dedicated sites/forums but until they have even a drop of news theres not much to talk about.

yeah, theres pretty much no good halo3 forums out there, because there is a minimal amount of info about the game. When there is info it gets around quick, and not just to halo 3 forums, but everywhere. All the halo 3 forums ive been to have the same old discussions, that have been talked about forever.
Halo3forum.com is littered with mlg people who post allot of montages. So if you're just bored and want to look at something halo related that can be interesting. Also whenever halo 3 vidoes get leaked, they appear there pretty fast.
Umm, the halo.bungie.org irc channel is really cool from my experience, and Kpaul runs it, so he shows up there every once in a while.

The Xbox Gamer's League is rather small, but what they have is straightforward and balanced. Need a few more web hits for activity to boost.
