Battlefield 2 Beta Patch v1.5 Released

For anyone who still plays Battlefield 2 on PC i found this earlier: LINK

Earlier this week, EA released the beta patch for Battlefield 2. I was very surprised since a long time ago they cancelled Patch v1.5 and i assumed that this was the end of updates for BF2.

It weighs in at 1.5gb. I only installed it today so i am only about to give it a shot now.

I gave up on BF2 long ago it was so full of bugs my Pc kept crashing its hard to edit the configs and the patches are the size of full games. I have said thsi before I am sure.

The Update v1.5 has now been released(last Tuesday actually). And to get people to play it again, they included both Armoured Fury and Euro Force booster packs for FREE!!

To anyone interested, I'm still downloading it so I can't really comment on any improvements.

Downloaded patch and cannot install it aparently it cant find "install path" another Fail for BF2.

I need 1.41 installed as well so that brings the total patches to download larger than the game install itself.:bang:

FFS Igot 1.41 and guess what! Yes I get the same problem which Ican only assume Ineed another fupping patch. F**K this game up its stupid as.

A bug that makes the patch not install lol and 1.5 GB in size that would take like 7hrs on my connection even if I am on 8mbps BB my ISP caps ours because they can't handle the demand lol.

You'd think they'd just give it out to the hardcore players who still play it to test it I wonder what it fixed I'd **** if it's 1.5GB and only fixes 4 things.

Mine installed without problems. Played a few times on different servers and went quite all right.

Can't really tell what bugs were fixed though as I never really noticed any.

I should have updated this thread a while ago. The final version of the v1.5 patch got released like a month ago, containing the booster packs for free so this helps anyone that hasn't got them.

It gives the game one last breath by offering these maps to everyone. v1.5 is around 1.5gb and you need v1.41 installed before you can install v1.5, so a 2gb download total for anyone starting fresh. Running on windows 7 with no problems at all, i didn't notice many bugs in the first place so can't tell the difference either.
