That's... not fair. GPS shouldn't use internet at all. That seems like an artificial way to force people to get 3G service.
Its completely fair. Pay less get less. Pay more get more.
I dont need it for now, maybe in the future like in a year i guess if the 3g has more incentives i might consider. I repeated this alot but ill say again i hate the us version 3g because it is simlocked by at&t, a big dickmove.
Once im japan or singapore i might buy that is not locked, only if 3g is still useful. Im waiting when microsoft is gonna announce a handheld lol
The reason the GPS requires a net connection is because it uses Google Maps. If it had a built in map then you wouldn't require a net connection at all, this is why SatNavs don't require a net connection, because all of their maps are on cards.
Is that not one of the scammy sites that makes you do ridiculous polls and surveys to get points?
Nope. You just play some videos to earn some points which allows you to buy things much cheaper than retail. I got my PS Vita in just 3 business days after I bought it. F34R and floetry also bought one from there. Completely legit and easy.
Some videos are worth 100pts. Press play and do something else till the video is over. I think I was able to use 1300pts to buy the PS Vita for $251.98. No taxes and no shipping costs.

Do they do international shipping???? :O Probably not...
I got the wifi version. I have a pretty good smartphone with another company, so I figure I'll do the cell phone stuff on that ( maps, foursquare, etc ) and the games stuff on the wifi.
I have no idea. Try it out and let us know.
Holy shit, seems like they do.
We currently ship orders to the following countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States.
Looks like I'll be getting me some discounted games and mah 3G Vita here...
WTF!? Hmmm...Suspicious...According to the Vita products sold at Lockerz with my current available discounts..I could get a 3G Vita, Uncharted, Wipeout and a 32GB card (when theyre back in stoclk) for the price of a 3G Vita here in Austria (€300). I mean I know it's worked for you guys..but WTF!? lol
AT&T seems to have put out new plans that drop the overage charges. They throttle speed, but that's better than the overages.
They didn't put out new plans, they actually restricted the UNLIMITED plans even more now. smh
I am going with the WIFI version as well. I have no desire to pay for internet AGAIN on the Vita. I already pay for internet at home, internet on 3 different phones, internet on my iPad. It's like $30+$30+$30+$30+$30+....well you get the point. I tire of paying for all that. I want a carrier that will let me have one WIFI plan for every device, including home.

You forget one little thing that's a big problem, import tax!
Yeah I have no reasons to get the 3G, and there doesn't seem like any incentives atm to get one. I don't feel at all as though I'm limiting myself or my options as, like I said, there isn't much going for 3G atm. That thing looks pretty cool and I imagine would be kinda cool living where I do too (London)
I'm very open minded so if there are incentives to get the 3G some time down the line, I'd have no issues selling my WiFi only one to get one
As of now, I'd rather save the £50 and get a few more games
I only purchased the 3G model for two reasons; first was that I had enough money at the time, and secondly im hoping they will release more features in the future that will make full use of it's capabilities.
I picked up the launch bundle, as it came with the 8gb card and a free psn game after a month, money i wouldve spent reguardless, so why not get a little something extra out of the money i was already going to spend?
I got my 3G vita with Modnations, the $39.99 accessory pack, 1 month free AT&T and free PSN game for $215 one day before the First Ed Bundle came out. I twas kinda hard to say no.
Sounds like the US deals were alot better than ours in the UK.
The 3G model on its own is £279 here. All our bundles seemed to be with the wifi model that made any significant impact on pricing.
I got my 3G today. Won't spoil the fun of setting all up while stuck at work, so will save it for home. I look forward to seeing how Sony's 3G experiment plays out over the years.

I got 8GB Memory card, 3G vita and wipeout for 264.99
Im kinda confused by this( hope they'll release something that'll use the 3G features) bit, it's just a semi constant internet connection, what features can it offer other then being able to connect at a bus stop lol
