Can someone with a 3G Vita see if the sim card was listed in the box's content list please. I find it fucking strange that mine didn't come with one. It's not listed on the box's contents and on the back it says "Compatible sim card required to access mobile network. Check compatibility with your network provider." lol WTF Q.Q

PlayStation blog[/URL]: the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, The Netherlands as well as Australia and New Zealand. Also, France and Belgium will have Vodafone’s partners as the preferred providers of 3G services for the Vita.
But no mention of Austria. Woulda thought they could be covered by Germany, but I don't think we even have Vodafone here...

And in an interesting twist of fate...I read after much searching that I can use any sim from an Austrian service provider as there is no preffered carrier here. I put in my cell sim...asked for the password, and accepted....I have an unlimited data plan on my sim...lol

Its illegal to sim lock a device in the EU so all providers work with the 3G model here

All you guys seem to leave out the fact that the 3g has a monthly charge. Probably at&t has been heavily investing in the 3g version for better sales hence sony agreed for a simlocked US version. And 15 bucks a month is 180 bucks a year given that 3g will be "very" useful. I chose wifi for the fact that at&t is run by faggots.

And your not looking at the facts either there is no contract its pay as you go monthly, sure you could spend 180$ a year or you could spend it when you go on holiday il probbaly only spend 20 quid on 3G tops this year.

Well it works for me as I have no smartphone. $15 a month is actually a deal compared to what most folks pay for their phone data contract.

Well it seems I can use any sim I want. If I choose to use my cell sim then I get 3G usage at no additional charge. I will probably get one of the other sims offered by my carrier though. I can get 1GB for €5 a month for example, which is similar to the Vodafone "use it when you want to,let it lapse when you dont" thing.

Im quite aware that it is not a contract, but if 3g ends up being useful, then it is highly unlikely that there is actually a month where you don't use the 3g, because it is convenient. My main complaint is that I travel a lot and I really have no use for a simlocked ps vita from at&t. Ghost Rayne I believe youre using a ps vita that was not released in the US? either way im about to leave the US hence the hate towards the 3g lock.
