Controllers randomly disconnect and blink white

Hi,

I recently started having this issue. It would mainly happen if I had put my PS4 into rest mode to download a game, or even sometimes during a game (most recently a Read Dead Redemption 2 cut scene), where the controllers would just disconnect and not connect again (even when trying to charge in the USB).

The first couple times this has happened, I typically have restarted my PS4 and the controllers never connect and blink white -- it's at this point where I have to unplug the power cord from the system and plug it back in. Once I do this, the system "rebuilds its database" and the controllers are then able to connect. I've done this a couple times, but don't want to keep doing it. I don't think it's a sustainable way to fix the problem.

I also recently deleted all the games from my system and factory reset my console and just had the same issue happen. Is there anything else I can do or is this a sign that I need to switch generations lol!

Much appreciated!
