Ok, I hope I'm not the only one who needs to ask this. But, where the hell is James Franco? I have the first movie on blu-ray and from what I can understand, Franco was Caeser's friend in that movie. Then the virus got loose in the airport. I get it, this 10 years after that virus. But, wouldn't Franco be the main character that Jason Clarke is playing? Is he not signed on for the movies anymore? What did I miss in the last two years press releases?

Oh and can't wait to see Andy Serkis own this role again.

This is a quote from Franco I found googling:
I was going to be a small part of the next one. There was a moment when Rupert Wyatt was going to direct the second one. A lot of the human characters that were in the first movie were dead in the sequel that Rupert was going to direct. But there was one scene, between Caesar and my character, maybe even just like on a video that was left behind, but then a lot of things happened, like [former Fox co-chairman] Tom Rothman who was a big part of the first movie, left. Now Rupert’s not a part of it so I don’t know. My guess is I won’t be in it. Nobody’s talked to me since Rupert left.

Kind of disappointed myself. I like my sequels to have a bit of continuity to them some how.

Wow, that's horrible, just gave him the "hey, fuck you guy!". Hmm, I'll go with lowered expectations then. I hope he at least gets a mention in a line from Caeser.
