dis guy????!!!!!!?!?![/QUOTE]

Just saying. I dont believe that Hamilton is the best driver in F1. He's mentally weak and egotistical. I mean, just last week he was STILL whining about how Rosberg didnt race him fairly last season and took their rivalry to a whole new level. Dude, you won the WDC. Just shut up already.

We all know that Alonso is the best driver, Hamilton is simply one thing: a stupidly quick racer, so quick in fact that just like Alonso he can get a car in a position where it shouldn't be. Having said that though this season he has changed a lot and for the better, he is starting to become more rounded like Alonso which is a good thing. Is he the best in F1 at the moment? No, but in a couple years time when Alonso retires I would say most definitely. Hamilton's had his youthful hot-headed days but leave his egoism alone, he still has to have some of that to still be him! Senna was way more egotistical than Hamilton ever was and he's the greatest F1 driver ever! I certainly wouldn't call Hamilton mentally weak though, far from it.

The fact that he's referred to as a, "momentum driver" says otherwise. Those who are mentally strong arent, "momentum drivers".

I think 2014 Hamilton did a a lot to dispel the criticism he often gets for not being mentally strong. You have to remember, he was asked that question in an interview, it's not like he just came out and said it for shits and giggles

Any other year, and especially more so in 2012, he would've fallen apart after events like Monaco, Hungary and Belgium but he dug deep and went on to win other races.

It was also funny how before this new Era started everyone said Lewis wasn't clever enough - or Nico was too cerebral - to adapt to the tyre and fuel useage yet in every race apart from the last one he was always one of the drivers the easiest on the tyres and using the least fuel.

If Lewis is back with the same mentality next year he could easily be a 3x WDC before Alonso is.

I'm back from holiday and have tipped the scale in Dan the man's favour!

Toss up between Hamilton and Ricciardo for me. Ricciardo didn't give two shits for his weaker engine, or his relative lack of pace, he just raced every driver he could, and fought for every position like a true racing driver.

Not saying Hamilton wouldn't do that, he just didn't get the chance, the mercs were in their own championship this year, so kinda moot putting them in contention with other drivers :p
