Just gauging interest at this point in time but I was wondering how many people would be interested in a fantasy F1 Competition? The winner will receive a £25 PSN card or PSN card to that amount depending where you live and exclusive bragging rights for being top of the class :icon_thumright:

With all the seats now been filled for the 2014 season the rules would be as follows:

1. Each member picks 6 drivers and one main team that they MUST stick with for the whole season (unless drivers change during the season in real life).

2. You can only pick 2 top drivers, these must be only from Red Bull, McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari.

3. The rest of your drivers must be 2 from either Force India, Sauber, Toro Rosso and Lotus F1 team and 2 from Williams, Caterham and Marussia.

4. Points will be scored as they are throughout the season, 25 points for a win, all the way to 1 point for 10th

5. Retirements will be taken into account, if the driver doesn't score, you don't score, same if both drivers for the same team retire from the race.

6. Any points deducted or half points given will also count throughout the season.

7. At the end of the season the drivers points and manufactures points will be added together and the person with the most total points will be the winner. In the event of a draw finishing positions throughout the season will decide the winner.

8. Entry closes on the 10th March, 5 days before the first race.

If I think of anything else before the season begins I shall change the OP so please keep an eye on it. Below is a list of the teams and drivers for the 2014 season so feel free to go ahead and pick, if there is enough interest then the competition will go ahead.

Red Bull-Renault Sebastian Vettel Daniel Ricciardo

Mercedes Lewis Hamilton Nico Rosberg

Ferrari Fernando Alonso Kimi Raikkonen

Lotus-Renault Romain Grosjean Pastor Maldonado

McLaren-Mercedes Jenson Button Kevin Magnussen

Force India-Mercedes Nico Hulkenberg Sergio Perez

Sauber-Ferrari Adrian Sutil Esteban Gutierrez

Toro Rosso-Renault Jean-Eric Vergne Daniil Kvyat

Williams-Mercedes Felipe Massa Valtteri Bottas

Marussia-Ferrari Jules Bianchi Max Chilton

Caterham-Renault Kamui Kobayashi Marcus Ericsson

Choose wisely and good luck :icon_thumright:

You have chosen too many top 3 drivers, you need to replace either Lewis, Seb or Jenson for someone from Caterham or Marussia.

I have a feeling judging by the teams this will be a close competition. GROJ and HULK seem to be the ones everyone is banking on. If Groj can carry on like how he ended this year he could be a big point scorer.

Sure looks like it, so far we all have both of them in our teams so we must all think they will be the most consistent throughout the season, we shall soon see!

You have a choice, you can either change one driver or stick with the same team and in the event that you both win we will have a tie breaker.....

Well an idea might be to put our drivers in order in which they think they'll end up at the end of the season, if that's the case then I already have mine in order.

Yes you can, up till the 10th March then you are stuck with who you choose :icon_thumright:

Think I might do the same thing to be honest, thinking about swapping Magnussen for Vettel to be honesty been impressed with his progress!

My initial selection has turned out to be pretty good! Only had to take Grosjean out and put Perez in for obvious reasons.

I was kinda hoping you'd all forgotten about this :L

Nope, cause Renault have the best engines because they are business partners with some chaps that make engines with turbo's!

I'm thinking the exact same thing however I'm thinking that I'm going to change Koboyashi with Bottas and Grosjean with Perez. Damn you Renault for screwing things up.
