Couldn't see a thread about it. So here it is.

I think it looks pretty good. And I wonder how they're going to handle the Paul Walker situation. I can't remember if they had finished filming when it happened.

I'm pretty sure they finished filming it before the accident. I get the feeling that this film is going to gross a lot because of Paul Walker's death. There will most likely be a tribute for him at the end of the film.

They had not finished filming it before Paul Walker was killed, the rest of the movie is made up from CGI of himself. Quote from Wikipedia:

With Furious 7 in the middle of filming at the time of Walker's death, Universal announced an indeterminate hiatus on the production, citing a desire to speak with his family before determining what to do with the film
I kinda feel this movie series has ran it's course now, I have enjoyed most of them although I did find Fast 2 and Tokyo Drift a little disappointing but will give this one a watch! Just think that this maybe the one they should really bow out on, especially as Paul Walker is no longer with us!

In that case CGI would be the best case. IT was effectively done in Tron Legacy so it shouldn't be too difficult to do a decent enough job with it on this.

This should definitely be the last. Like said, it's run its course - and with the Paul Walker thing, it seems like the right time.

And if any of that footage of him in the trailer is cgi, I couldn't tell the difference.

I would imagine the scenes towards the end of the trailer would be so like you say, very good job because you can't tell the difference!

It's true they had finished filming Paul's role, but they didn't opt for CGI. They actually brought in Paul's brother to finish it.

The Social Network's use with the Winklevoss brother was fantastic, as well as Benjamin Button's aging. Either way though, I understand what you were getting at.
