If sony is already done with the console, does that mean they have like.. 3 month to fix all the bugs, and 3 months to mass produce? If so, that would be awesome. Bug free PS3 at launch, and a ton of them? What could be better?

Yep expect upgrades and bug fixes. Especally as the PS3 is much more complicated than previous generations consoles. We all know the more complicated something is the more things can go wrong!!!! Still its also a closed system so it should be easier to de-bug than your average PC!!!!

It shouldn't overheat though; if they got it running as quietly as a slimline PStwo (very desirable for home theatre) then they obviously don't feel a need to cool it that much.

Sounds like the U. S. will be getting the flat black. I'm down with that-it looks pretty cool. The above pic looks like the gloss black. I'm just glad some announcements have happened.

No don't get confused, we are getting the glossy black. I believe that the 20BG doesn't have the chrome and the gloss. Many pictures of the black PS3 at E3 2006 is glossy.

didn't sony and that say that because the cell is such a well designed processor that there should be very little/no problems with it? i mean everythin else is basically tried and tested already. the BD drive is alreddy de-problemised, the rsx shouldn't have any problems( graphics cards rarely have problems) and nearly everythin else has been around for a while(usb, wi-fi connections, bluetooth, etc) so there shouldn't be that much to worry bout de-buggin i.m.o. :D

i think that ps3 console wasnt the full Ps3 itself just a dev kit cut down to size to fit inside the ps3 console and all dev kits at E3 06 werent final dev kits they were beta dev kits. Final dev kits hits june as sony stated tons of times.

That's just it, they aren't the things that go wrong, it is usually the construction process that goes wrong like the fans, wiring but more likely the disc drives in terms the motors in side them.

It's kind of funny that considering the complexity of Cell and RSX the things that cause the most problems is the motors. :)

You have to admit that while the X360 looks cute the PS3 looks bad, ominous and just plain down to business.

The PS3 looks alot more slick and sophisticated than the Xbox 360 .

That blue glowing "Eject" touch sensitive button on that black PS3 looks freakin' cool .

Did you just say the 360 looks "cute"? o.0 Well, that settles it. 360 is for people who like "cuteness", while PS3 will be for those aiming for "sexiness".

Actually, I think both the 20GB and 60GB models will have that glossy finish. Why? Because in those pics posted on the Sony Press page, both of them lack that gloss. Plus, it just wouldn't make sense to have one with gloss, and silver... and have one without gloss with no silver. Just too much work on thier part.
