All I can say is outstanding. WAY more impressive in person that I'd have ever thought.

it was at a Sony Style store (so I'm sure others have seen it as well) They have a PS3 running a demo video of a few games and video from a Soccer game and a zoo in Japan. I think the TV was a 52" or 55" sony that will be out soon.

I'm not sure how other games will look, but racing games are perfect for 3d, the depth you get looking down the track.

anyway, just was quite impressed in person after being quite skeptical of it, so I thought I'd share.

Pure interest did it have a price label for what the tv will retail at?

I think 3D will be cool, just for me and most others, it won't be investment worth making yet.

It's like buying the early model HD tvs, they were all 720p max. If you waited a bit, then you could get a 1080p model.

Accordingly first-gen 3D teles, I'll pass even though it still remains quite cool.

no, no price yet (the employees didn't even have an indication as the range it might be) One girl working did tell me she thought it would be in the $3500 range.

I will say it seemed WAY better than the Samsung 3D display I saw set up a few weeks ago and the glasses seemed more comfortable.

I think the TV itself is not that expensive. The price right now is very similar to the price when they first release the first few slim LED TVs. After a year now, these LED TVs are fairly cheap. I expect these 3D TVs will have a similar trend.

But like I said, the 3D TVs are not that expensive. Its really the glasses that are expensive. Imagine if you have a family of five. You probably need to spend more than $1000 on glasses which is more than 1/3 of the TV and I heard these glasses don't last long.

In terms of 3D gaming, I think its quite interesting especially for all these new motion techs coming out.
At a Sony Style? Damn, I should head down to the one near me then, hopefully they've got a 3D gaming display up too :D
Yep, I hit two Sony Styles while in LA and both had the same setups going.
