Got YLOD, Disc stuck inside :(

Just got the YLOD while playing MW2 and now the disc is stuck inside, it's the 60 gb model, I tried the fan trick to try to force eject but that didn't work
Is there any other way to get it out without opening it up or am I just going to have to do that?
It's already out of warranty and I'm not paying for a refurb from sony, I'm just buying a new slim tomorrow.

Hold your finger on the eject sensor pad until it comes out. It'll make a different sound than usual but should work. You might have to hold it there for a good 10 to 15 seconds.

I had this problem. Ring sony ask for replacement, and they'll take the disc out and send you it back. Same happend with me and team america hahah , they sent it back within like 2 weeks of them getting my ps3. Then quickly sold the model they sent back to me ( a refurb for free) and got 250gb. Stay well away from 60gbs, i had YLOD 3 times...

Fan/eject tricks dont work on 60GBs, only the newer 40GB/80GB/160GB phats do that. You'll either have to open it yourself or get someone to fix it for you to get it out.

Tried that but didnt work.
I guess I'll just open it, dont really fancy waiting 2 weeks lol

Ive said this a bunch of times, but it is really really really easy to open up and get the disc out. I had never done it before and it took me 20 mins to open it, get disc out, and put back together. You need a precision screw driver though.

It voids warranty, but since urs in done, that isn't an issue. Good luck.
