The Switch version of Rocket League will feature exclusive Super Mario and Metroid-themed Battle-Cars, developer Psyonix announced.

The "Mario NSR," "Luigi NSR," and "Samus' Gunship" make up the three exclusive cars, which will be free and unlockable at launch. The Mario NSR and Samus' Gunship Battle-Cars are Orange team members, while the Luigi NSR and a classic Samus color variation of her Varia Suit are Blue team members.

In addition to the Battle-Cars, the Switch version of Rocket League will also have several exclusive customization items, including "Mario" and "Luigi" Toppers (hats) for use on any non-licensed customizable Battle Car, the "Super Star" Rocket Boost for use with the Mario NSR and Luigi NSR cars, and the "Wave Beam" Rocket Boost for use with the Samus' Gunship car.

Rocket League is due out for Switch this holiday. It is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

It probably won't matter to anyone who already owns the game on PS4, Xbox One and PC but it's cool when a developer goes the extra mile by adding new content to a game they're porting.

That and Samus' Gunship is easily the best looking exclusive car.
