Just downloaded this app - don't know if it is up globally and it might be that I am in the NXE update beta testers that this is available for me, can someone check/confirm...
First thing I noticed is the Avatar awards that you will get, I was awarded -
Halo Waypoint Monitor
ODST Shirt
ODST Hoodie
ODST Armor
ODST Helmet
...so people might want to check with that before purchasing any Avatar goods from the marketplace(if these items are available there that is)
Lots of fan photos and also backstory on the Halo universe.
EDIT-
The application appears in the 'My Community' section that will appear when the new NXE update is rolled out. This has Facebook/Twitter etc sections as well. The download is 139.90MB. You can also access this app by going into your 'My Xbox' and through the Game Library tab.
Once the app is launched you have a couple of options presented -
Intel - for latest Halo news and media
Career - for achievements and career milestones, waypoint awards and achievements
This will be compelling for any Halo fans for sure....heh my friends list is harrasing me right now about it
