Has anyone gotten all gold on the S.Vettel X1 Challenge?
If so, how?

I've just bronzed the challenge and got myself the S.Vettel X2010, I was aiming for silver because I wanted to get a coloured one but I just couldn't get round the tracks anywhere near fast enough, I'm constantly about 3 - 5 seconds off from getting silver and if I try to push the car too much I always end up making a mistake which puts me onto the grass disqualifying me:( It even took me a few tries to get bronze.

Any advice is aprreciated :)

I have one person on my friends list who has got nothing but gold on everything so far. He's a member if thus forum too. He's 97% done the game with 55,000Km driven.

Outstanding!!!

I think it comes down to patience, memorizing everything and a little bit of luck. I tried them yesterday and ya it's pretty crazy. If you have won the car I would suggest going to practice and running laps until you get the track down so you don't have to start over when you mess up. good luck!

Nope, but I have the reward for getting all gold on it, so it's one set of challenges I'll be leaving on the shelf! I am so far off the pace with a pad and just couldn't be bothered in the end. Still, a lot of that might have been due to me burning out on the game after spending days grinding away to get there... For me, the fun is in driving the X2010 on any track, not winning it ;)

Wow! Still, 3 seconds in that car is a lot of time to make up. Anybody who even gets bronze on those challenges, even using a wheel, is a star player in my book!

Any tips for the Nurburgring? Turns 3 and 4 are where I'm losing time.

Brake hard and stay to the inside of turn 3 then go really wide for Turn 4, you can off the track on the tarmac and not get penalised so get your foot down early on the exit of 3 but dont clip the apex of 4 otherwise you'll catch air and lose time. Basically what i did :)

Just gold left to get now but I might leave that one for a while as I'm not that fussed about getting a carbon one ;)

Hopefully I'll get all gold tomorrow, just got to do that boring indy 500 race one more time then I'll be level 30 again, I could end up with 5 X1's that's including the 2 I won before I deleted my save :D Not saying I will gold it though ;)

I got all gold the other night after finally unlocking it. It was hard, but reading what others said about the difficulty I thought it was going to be worse. The xp I gained put me from level 30 to level 34 in about 5-6 hours so just for that it was worth it not to mention 3 x2010's. If you do it remember to turn harder than you do with any other car until the tires are glowing red. I did the first 2 w/o Skid recovery force or any other aids suzuka I ran with SRF and abs @4 cuz I was getting tired and was very close W/O aids so i turned that on and was just enough quicker.

This challenge hurts my head and my arms... all I've got so far is a measly bronze at Monza. I just can't get my head around the speed you can take tight corners!

Massive props to those who got gold on all three challenges.

I've gotten gold on everything except for these challenges and I've tried Monza for hours, but it's too much to ask of me to not make a costly mistake at this level of intensity, which is kind of a bummer after spending so many hours on fully completing the game just to be bested by Vettel.

Oh well, Suzuka is ridiculous, to get bronze is a huge accomplishment.

bronze is much easier now they've brought the times down. try taking off traction control, switching on skid recovery force and turning controller sensitivity to 5/6

The way I did was using skid recovery and driving it like an arcade racer. A bit of a shame, but before I did that I couldn't even get a silver in suzuka. So the thing is skid recovery on, tc off (skid recovery will work as tc), memorize the breaking points, and drift all the way to victory. In Monza as long as you cut the second chicane you can get an easy gold, even with skid recovery off. Another thing about skid recovery, the more traction you lose, the more grip you have, so don't be afraid to do use unreasonable speeds on corners.

I got gold on Monza! :)

Thanks a bunch guys, adjusting controller sensitivity to six was a big help.

Now for Suzuka and Nurb, same settings? Can it be done with the dualshock? Any suggestions specific for those tracks?

Also, +rep
