Well shit...my hypothesis was wrong! Nice to see it is easy to get into! Totally dig the PS engraved screw!

The plastic cover was made in July 2013!

can we just swap the hard drive and boot it up like we where able to do with launch ps3s. when i upgraded my launch phat
all i did was swap the drive and boot it up andi was ready to play i did not have to put the fw on a thumb stick like i did when i swpaed my slim drive.

I wonder if the ease of removing the cover will let us see fun "face plate" replacements. Also Side note as it was pointed out already that screw is bad ass.

The PS4 is going to be the best console ever!

They have been steadily dropping each year. You can pick them up for less than $1/£1 per GB now. Still alo more expensive than mechanical drives of the same capacity. 1TB SSD will cost around £450

In 2005 I paid £200 for one of these, they are SATA 1 or 150MB/sec at the time SATA 2 was the go to standard but very few drives got close to even SATA 1 speeds, unlike today.

Yeah I've noticed but £450 is alot of money for a 1TB SSD.

I am thinking something like carbon fiber!
