It's a pretty lengthy feature, but worth checking out if you're a PlayStation fan. What are some of your greatest memories over the years?

The PSOne had 1MB of VRAM, 2MB of RAM, and a single CPU core clocked at 33MHz.

With no regard for 'quickness' If you write "hello world" today using C's standard libraries, and compile with gcc, you get a compiled program of ~1MB. If you run the thing, you have a ruintime size of ~2MB. That much memory just for a single string in a terminal window. No fancy graphics, no music, no sounds. The fact that we got some of these

out of consoles of the day is amazing!

Personally fond of the PS3 era. Sony (or their first party studio's) kinda had to fight tooth and nail to stay in the fight. IMHO, pain in the arse that it was to develop for aside, we got some of the best stuff that gen as a result. MGS4, the Uncharted series, TLoU, Demons Souls etc. etc.
