How powerful is vita?

It isn't bad at all. It has some room for improvement, and it will definitely get it further on in the development stages. Remember, the PS3 has the cell to help with a lot of things that the Vita won't be able to offload to.

You would have to compare the Vita to the first year of the PSP to compare properly. At the end of the PSP's life, it had some games that look as good as some Vita games. This just means the Vita should greatly improve over time.

Look at the PSP FIFA13 game, then look at the Vita FIFA 13 game. That's a proper comparison. Need me to post some pics?

Look at LBP PSP vs the Vita release. I mean, cmon. There are many aspects of the games on the Vita that showcase the power, that even the best looking PSP game doesn't even touch.

Some games on the Vita are amazing. Virtua Tennis on the Vita looks identical to the PS3. But look at God of War on the PSP. The graphics are amazing.

P.S. Could you post those comparisons? I am curious to see.

no doubt GOW looked really good... it doesn't hold up to the power of the Vita though. Gimme a few mins to get some caps done on both. I don't have the ss prx pluggin on my psp anymore. Grrrr...

The Vita has also higher resolution and thats one of the reason why games on vita look better than the best ones for psp.

Rumour has it, in the hands of talented developers Sony believe they can achieve the level of graphics shown in this tech demo. If it's true then the answer is very powerful.

yeah, I am going to do them in a few mins. I'll see how they come out. Screens will probably come straight from the pvr cap, while the vita comes from it's screen shot ability. Unless I can find my prx for ss for the PSP lol. Working on them now. Thanks for reminding me.

Yeah. I had it before the Vita version. I knew just from the FIFA (11/12/13) demo on the store, that the games were light years away in similarities.

And even that isn't a fair comparison. That title appeared on the PSP very, very late in its lifecycle. The Vita is still within its first year, so results will improve dramatically.

Vita is an awesome little device.
