On the Digital Foundry 1 million subs stream, the DF team was talking about the whole scaling and graphical disparity subject that resurfaced today due the PS5 teardown, and John Linneman said this:

We haven't actually had hands on with the PS5 yet, but just talking to developers... I think people will be surprised in a good way. [I have been] hearing some good things about that PS5. It's not that triple but it's close

Sounds cool! Definitely some cool things you can do with the SSD - I only know of implementations where you can read off the SSD for simulation. No idea if games have datasets that large, or even if the GPU is even capable :/

I've red it's very friendly to develop for. Curious to know what they refer to with "surprising"

I really enjoy Digital Foundry's channel. Happy to see they finally hit 1 million subs. Looking forward to their in-depth hands on with the PS5 next month.

You'll have to zoom in 600x to :geek:see the difference in consoles.

DMC 5 is already going to look better on the PS5 because it's going to have raytracing at launch.

Nah, there isn't anything that's going to make up for the advantages the series x has over ps5. No different than than the one x outperforming the PS4 pro.

Lets wait and see what the advantages will amount for,im also curious to see the real differences.More fps perhaps?Or better resolution?AC Valhala will most likely be the one that will show whatever advantages x will have in multipl.

I was basically saying the differences aren't going to matter to anyone that wants a PS5. I said nothing about making up for the advantages the SX has lol. Having to zoom in 600x was a joke but lets say they do have to zoom in 600x to see a difference between the 2 consoles. You do realize that's has nothing to do with PS5 having any advantages over the SX, right?

You seem to think the differences are going to be mindblowing between the SX and PS5. Am I correct? You probably also think there will be a bigger gap between the PS5 and SX than there was between the PS4pro and 1x.

Differences aren't going to be mind blowing but at the end of the day the hardware on series x will allow for superior versions of 3rd party games if the devs choose to.
