WOOOW. Haven't even plugged it in and I love it! my dad said "can you help pick-up this new tv cabinet" I thought it was suspicious. He has the cable and everything. He asked what was the best Tv, way back in October, he said it was for a friend, and he bought it! With a HDMI cable too!!!!! i am going to have to replay every game I have now!!!!

Will post pics, once set up!

EDIT: Just read some reviews about HD tvs, that they don't like SD tv, but I can't do much about that, I have freeview!

Very true, SD doesn't look as good on a HDTV. This is because HDTV's have a higher native resolution (more pixels) than an SDTV does. So the TV downscales the image back to SD and that causes artifacts, pixelation and blur. But who cares, start buying BLU! SD sucks hard.

I have an LG that supports 1080i but I play on 720p as some games suffer from bad screen tear on 1080i. Might get a 1080p in the January sales and sell my other one but I'm dubious as to the difference in quality between the two resolutions.

Congratulations! I can imagine how you feel. Just remember that, from now on, you are going to be spoiled and no SD signal will ever be good enough. Your "standard" has now been raised! :snicker

Don't forget to post pictures! Congratz!

To be honest I didn't know Sony would have Bravia on the shelf that are only limited to 720p. Grats though.

Ugh. Not worth calling it 1080p. In a technical sense yes the image will output in 1920x1080. It's still the same 480p image from the DVD though. The PS3 just does some smoothing to make it look less grainy and a little clearer than if you just had the TV adjust the image to fit to the screen.

Just set it up. Analogue tv is ****, my parents are blind, they think it is good! They love digital, although I can pick flaws in it easily! Anyway, haven't tried PS3 yet, but it is all set-up. Going to the dentist at half-past, will post pics when I get back.

grats, i recently helped my parents buy their 32" a few weeks ago for 499, we had a hard time choosing between the Bravia and Samsung but ultimately chose the Samsung.
We now have a 32" and a 64" and I cant use either for my ps3 so I hope to get a 32" in the next 3-4 months if the prices drop another 100 bucks. Im thinking that with Christmas so near, there will be alot of 32" hdtv to buy and once thats over stores will want to sell whats left and also since 2009 models will be coming up. So when 32" reaches 399 ill get to join the HDTV club. Ps3 games on my SDTV are such a waste, I know the graphics are amazing on alot of the games yet I cant experience it... yet.

Anyway grats, and hope I can get my 32" soon as well, maybe around the time Killzone 2 is out.
