Meta has officially announced the upcoming release of its Quest 3 VR headset. The Quest 3 will be available in the fall, starting at a price of $499.99 for the 128GB version. It features a lighter and more comfortable design compared to its predecessor, the Quest 2, with a slimmer optic profile. The Quest 3 is also equipped with a new Snapdragon chip that offers twice the graphics performance. It is compatible with games from the Quest 2. Alongside the Quest 3 announcement, Meta revealed a price drop for the Quest 2, with the 128GB version now priced at $299.99 and the 256GB version at $349.99. Additionally, an upcoming software update will enhance the CPU and GPU performance of both the Quest 2 and the higher-end Quest Pro. The Quest 3 will be showcased further at Meta's Connect event on September 27th.
