Mini Ninjas - New game from IO (Hitman, freedom fighters, kane and lynch)

Eidos has unveiled a brand new Mini Ninjas IP, due for release on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS this autumn.
Io Interactive of Hitman and Kane & Lynch fame is taking on development duties, and appears to be ditching gritty and adult themes in favour of a light cartoon style to ensnare a younger crowd. We're told there should be enough depth to keep the core audience happy, too.


The story follows young and very small ninja, Hiro, who embarks on a quest to rid the world of evil samurai and restore harmony to the world. He'll be doing plenty of sword swishing to dispatch his foes, plus use Kuji magic to turn baddies into pandas and accept a helping hand from his flock of Willow-sized friends.

Trust me they are... But they have more than one team, actually 3 and they are all working on diffrent projects + they outsource a little to asia. Pretty sure this is what the smallest team was working on. They are over 200 there all in all.

Rumours say they are actually working on 4 projects but i know for a fact they are working on atleast 3 and one of them is hitman 5.

Really no diffrence from when lionhead were working on fable, the movies and black and white... Just months ago they were still working on fable 2 + a new project.

Denmark is small, it's easy to get into IO (they have open house days... Pretty much), it's easy to get in a beta test. Also as i said with Denmark being small not to long ago i was at a marriage where one of the first guy at IO were (worked on the very first hitman) where we talked a bit before everyone started getting so drunk that they danced on the tables and threw up on themself.

I've been at IO 4 times and could easily get in again but there is starting to be a waiting list for a weekly beta testing... It isnt exatly a secret either that they are working on hitman 5, i believe Edios even stated it in their yearly finance report not too long ago.

It is for pc/360/ps3 and have been in the works since some time in 2006 but starting to get really OT now.

Edit : Yes it has already been comfirmed.

IO Interactive is "already working on a brand-new franchise along with the fifth Hitman game and a sequel to Kane & Lynch."

Looks like a day 1 buy for me this autumn. I really hope we get to play Hitman 5 before 2010.. You can't have only one hitman per generation! NOOO!

It's a shame that the screen graphics won't have that much AA on them when the game is released..

I'd LOVE to see a sequel to Freedom Fighters, but I doubt we'll be seeing one anytime soon if at all. Which is a shame, really, as the original was quite a unique title and offered plenty of action.

I was under the impression that IO were already working on one, or so Official Playstation Magazine states, as well as various other sources around the internet. I wouldn't expect it to be released before late 2010, though, although an 'official statement is expected soon'...
