Motorstorm 2 online "reset car" help

Whenever I crash in on online race, it takes quite a while for the "press X to continue" to pop up (around 5-10 seconds which is enough to put you from 1st to last).

However, I've seen people reset their vehicle almost instantly! Is there an option for this? It's really fustrating. One example was when I was racing on Cascade falls and crashed into a tree, the slow mo crash thing starts. About 2 seconds later another player crashes into me, but is able to reset his car like 3-4 seconds before I can?

The whole reset vehicle is pretty unresponsive for me in general as I have to press it a couple of times for it to register; yet in most online races theres always 1 or 2 players who can continuosuly spam on the select button to stay in the lead!!!

The worst experience was earlier today on a ranked paradise beach race where a player (Arturwaj) was continuosly reseting their vehicle and mantaining a good distance from the rest.

So is there really a technique to recover from a crash as quickly as possible?

Also, theres anyone know how the experience for online is done? I got no % increase after I was third yet I can get some rank % if i'm 4th.

I think you just hit select any time in the race to "reset" your car. You may have to wait for a certain point in the crash, but still works.

They probably press select to reset just before they crash.

Also, the Exp works by monitoring how much times your crash, what your highest place was and obviously your final ranking. You will always gain Exp from being 1-3rd but after that you might not gain any at all.

I had this problem also, I was racing on Colosus Canyon, I was 2nd and very close to the 1st player, about the lenght of 2 cars, then he crashed and he could reset right away and was spawned in speed, so when his car spawned he had already a good speed, he was not stationary. That got me very upset, because it's not fair.
I don't know how this is done, I want also to find out.

Regarding the % they give you after an online race, it depends what players you beat. If you beat players with rank bigger than you then you get more % and viceversa.

This is NOT resetting cars, it's the new and somewhat "improved" means of dealing with laggy players.

When a player lags out, the game shows them crashing....then as the connection syncs back in, it shows them as the white wireframe car as if they have just respawned. It saves any problems caused by a player lagging out then appearing back in right at the spot another car is at!

It does seem as though they have discovered some magical cheat for instant respawn at top speed but it's not, just ignore it and get on with winning

Like FxAxF said its just the way the game handles laggin players, it might b u laggin if evry 1 is being reset all the time.

I hope it's not me, if it happens it happens to 1-2 players in a full game so luckily its not everyone.

FxAxF is spot on. Its not a glitch or abuse of the system. Its the way the game deals with lag.
