Hi guys! Today after a long and stressful day at work. Decided to jump on ps4 and relax a bit. When turning it on the image is all distorsioned and out of center. I changed the HDMI cable but same problem. I reatarte a couple of times ad now its just a 5cm vertical line on the left side of the screen. Did somebody experienced the same or does somebody know hot to fix it? (My assumption it's that the HDMI port its damaged)
That doesn't sound great to be honest. Things to try:
- Try a different HDMI socket in the TV
- If this works then there's a problem with the TV's HDMI port you were using
- Try another device connected to the original HDMI port
- Update the TV's firmware (most TVs allow you to download and update their fw nowadays)
- Test the PS4 using another TV/monitor with the same HDMI cable
- if it works then the issue is not with the PS4
- if it doesn't work then you have a borked PS4 I'm afraid to say (you could try calling Sony and see if they can make some suggestions)
