New GPU before 360....

I just bought an Nvidia 7800, which runs roughly the price of the xbox 360, and I am extremely proud of myself. In one shot, I can now play almost every game that is out for 360, and even use a wireless 360 controller, not to mention games you can't play on 360. The best part, the graphics are the same, and I don't have to buy into more of MS' BS. I was considering buying a 360 as the days to the "Spring PS3" launch are coming quickly (and I needed a good next gen fix), but I think I have the better of the 2 options.

Happy Days, any games I should get immediately?

I already have BF2, HL2, FEAR.... maybe COD2?

Well, dont expect that Spring launch to happen here in the US. Just expect Japan first, to be safe. There is that possibility it will launch in the US first because of the nature of the titles avaliable, but well ... just expect the norm.

Games? Hmmm.. FEAR yeah, Call of Duty 2, Battlefield 2, Age of Empires 3, Civilization 4, Black and White 2, etc. This probably belongs in the PC forum though. Look out for Oblivion too in March.

Oh and nm, you already have Battlefield 2.

Good for you I guess, but looking ahead the 360 probably would have been a better investment ( I can't believe I'm saying this).. PC gaming is expensive everytime a new game comes out it will abuse you PC and force you to upgrade your system. However, since consoles as a whole do not have an OS and GD make games to the console's specifications...yeah you get the idea....and I think its safe to expect PS3 in the spring here in the US, afterall spring is March 21st-June 21st.

I have a 7800 gt, can't really afford the 7800 gtx. But I do love my 7800 gt, especially since I only paid $300 for it.

Good choice with goin for the Geforce7800...I have played most of the Xbox360 games and the only good ones are PC agmes as well. Condemed and Call of Duty2 ...thats it. The rest not so good...maybe PGR3.

Also, if you do buy a Xbox360...wait
Wait for them to include the HD-DVD add-on and wait for more games to come out.

This should be in the gaming section! do a search first. I learned the hard way, so dont make me get a mod to lock it, clear?

I dont want to be mean or anything, but the mods and admins work there butt's of to get everything organized so please help! :D
