Complicated, cluttered, and cumbersome. Needs to be more streamlined and faster. I like how PSN is actually integrated into the menu system though, similar to the 360 dashboard.

nice thanks for that video looks great seeing remote play makes me more hopeful for full ps3 remote play rather then the watered down psp version that we had as its possible to remote play any game nearly if you have cfw

Props for trying something new, I like how you can see friend activity... but It does seem a little wierd with all the games on the interface, mine wont look like that as Ill be buying them physically.

Also whats with all the day 1 DLC :p

I think Sony have a lot of work to do on the user-interface still. They need to get it up to iOS standard before they think of releasing this. This is where the big three software companies (Apple, Microsoft and Google) have a large advantage. I was hoping Sony went with Android for the user interface of the NGP but they have gone down their own route which could end up being a complete disaster.

PSN integration will have to be best in class as well. I was hoping Sony would partner with Steam for that but as of yet nothing has come of it. Sony needs to realize it needs expertise in user-interface/software/services/networks badly still because clearly it is not learning as fast as the competition is progressing.

I really like the XMB so I was hoping they would use something similar.

I'll refrain from making a decision on whether I like it or not until I have actually used it.
Hopefully that is fake.
It's not fake, although it is old. This was taken from the NGP unveil back in January so hopefully they've made some changes.
This looks stupid.
I'm going to have to agree with Vulgotha on this one. One thing I've always liked about Sony's designs is that they are sleek and slim. From the consoles themselves to the XMB, I've come to correlate Sony with those sort of designs. The NGP doesn't look horrible by any means, but to me the design comes across as odd and well, more of something I'd expect on one of Nintendo's gadgets.

That being said, it all comes down to the actual content. If the NGP turns out to be a great handheld device, I'll certainly put consideration into purchasing it -- despite a less than desirable design.

Yeah, and hopefully we will all be spending more time in actual games and applications than fiddling with that ugly interface. lol

Will like it IF

-Orbs can be switched to cubes (or other shapes)
-Orbs can be resized
-Orbs can be placed and aligned anywhere ala desktop

To make it short... Customizable!

HotShots Golf looks sexy as.

You know, the XMB is so fast and snappy on current PSP's. I've always wondered why on the PS3 it takes a while for things to get into gear.

This new menu systems looks just as snappy as the XMB on PSP so thats a good thing.
