I just watched all of the Flyers game and holy crap what a great game! I love the Flyers and they beat the crap out of the Pens 8-2! Hooray for Lupul and Umberger getting hat tricks!

Sid the Skid got his ass handed to him. Philly are having a wierd season being the role model for headhunters in the league but also making some points.

Sad..

San Jose is now 2nd in the league thanks to the 5-2 victory over the previous 2nd place holders, Vancouver Canucks.

You do know that the Canucks were finishing up a 8 game road trip.

That would take a toll on any team

Anyways the canucks are in edmonton to destroy them, unless we go to shootout.
Hopefully the capitals can pull this one off against the wings. Looking pretty good right now.
That didn't happen. It was crazy that the first 3 wings scored in the shootout all using a backhand. Ovechkin did score tho.

Did anyone just see that vzubolov save for the yotes? My god that was awsome lol. He was down on the ground and one of the flyers got the puck and took what seemed a open net shot, he reaches up and grabs the puck out of the air. :) Flippin sweet

I was going to go to an all star game then that stupid lockout happened and Betman the dumbass of the world decided not to have it here in phoenix anymore.

We were all so amped about it and had so many things planned for it then bam no more. It was supposed to be during the lockout but since that happened it got cancelled and they never rescheduled it here. GAHAY

Yeah he has been a Toronto fan since he was a little kid since he is from Canada and he loves the Maple Leaves and he loves Sittler so I figured I would get him one. Cost me 130 bucks though.
God the leafs sucks, I feel like crying. :(
They don't suck its just the russians forgot how to play hockey for the last minute.
i dont no too much about NHL im black i watch Bball and Football come on now but i am in NC so...i guess go Hurricanes
I am getting so sick of this, every post is oh I am black so...... I mean I know a ton of black people who play hockey and I have season tickets to the hurricanes and there are a ton of black people there. Its not a white sport jeez.
I am really getting annoyed that Flyers have been sucking of late. Makes me sad :(.
I'm kind of glad, that organization needs a stern talking to. I have never been much of a philly fan though.

I don't care what race or ethnicity you are, if you don't have anything constructive to add to the conversation stay out of it. You did the same thing in the MLB thread as well. Look I don't go into forums for quantum physics because I simply don't have anything to add to the discussion. A quick review of your posts shows that you have little to add to most conversations.

Anyway, back to Hockey. I'm glad to see that Tom Renney shuffled the lines back to how they should be. It paid off big time against the Penguins last night. Hopefully they keep up the offensive production. Something that irks me, whats with Huet leading the All-Star voting for goalies in the East? Thats an absolute JOKE! He hasn't even played in half of his teams games. Some how Lundquist is third behind Brodeur and meanwhile he's clearly the most deserving. I know I'm a Rangers fan but Lundquist has really put up some big, big numbers this year and I think you'll be hard pressed to argue that someone else should be voted in above him.

They dont suck, the coyotes just started owning lately lol. I beleive they are on a 4 and 1 streak right now! Woot lol, GO YOTES.

Its all fanbase and how teams handle it. I mean come to AZ and you get emails, see signs, and go to events all telling you to vote for DOAN and JOVO, mostly doan because he is awsome :), instead of saying vote for a coyote or to just vote. Doan has made it to the game every year since he became captain and thats why, he has a HUGE fanbase here (beyond belief lol because he owns :) )

Anyways i agree with you though, based on what ive seen, Broduer is much much more deserving than anyone right now. However like most all star games it wont matter, thats why fans vote. Its all for ratings, the more fans that want to see a certain player the better that players chances are, because come gametime ratings are higher.

Thats interesting. It's different living in NY, we don't see dedicated advertising promoting solely one player. Granted the stars are the ones you may see on the billboards etc. but I've never seen a campaign for one player.

On a side note, Soldier, what does the Pats/Colts reference mean in your sig?

I can't believe that the Coyotes are a .500 team this far into the season...yes yes its not even the first half over yet, but seriously .500? It just shows you what a good goalie can do for a team with little to no talent.

That being said, a good goalie can be good for a team with lots of talent who can't score as well. IE Rangers.

Woo your kidding me right? Brodeur is the most deserving in the dang league I mean he is going to break Sawchuck's shutout record next season. 551 wins he will blow past, he is second or third in the league for wins. He plays just about every game ever. I am surprised he is not leading the All Star vote! Lundquist is good, all star material? I don't think so not this year.

By the way where are the tallies for the votes, I can't find them.

Next time i drive by the billboard if its still there ill show you a pic...

My sig means the colts suck and the pats own. :) I Hate the colts...

Well our starting lineup (Doaner, riprencht, moore etc) owns, they work extremely well together and lead the team. We have 2 rookies (Vrbata and mueller) that are preaty good too. The rest however really are acting like rookies and need to show up sometimes and at the same time.

The thing i dont like is that they praise JOVO all the time, but i look at it in a differnt way. Peter Moore is doing better, he doesnt show on the stats all the time, but watch him play. They are defensemen and he is always in the right place, he is always setting up the right person, and he is alway making plays. JOVO looks more like he should be on offense sometimes, which i dont mind time to time but not all the time. Dont get me wrong JOVO is a great player i just think he needs to change his play style because some of the other defensemen are following him.

However i do agree with you entirely about the goalie statement. OLne good goalie can change everything and boy do we have one!

Also it sucks we started 5 games late, i was looking at standings and if we didnt we would be tied with the ducks and such whiich have 5 overtime losses. They are 15-16-5 we are 16-16 and 5 games behind in GP.
