Ok, who here has been wanting a Wipeout game for several years, especially on the PC? Well I know I have and frankly I couldn't be any more excited. They have got the Kickstarter page live now and hopefully they'll get enough money to develop the game. Let's be frank though, it's Wipeout, everyone loves Wipeout, so if you want to see the game made then back it. I've already gone for a physical collector's edition so now I'm just crossing my fingers that it gets supported by the community. Considering that the game is by the ex-Wipeout devs (Studio Liverpool) and will be having the art done by The Designer's Republic (they did the Wipeout logos) and Dub FX (he did a lot of the Wipeout music), I think we can expect to see a high quality game come to fruition. :)

That's ok, it happens. :snicker

Anyway the devs are having an event in just under 4 weeks time in Sunderland. For £10 you get a ticket into the University pub which, for 4 hours, has music from Dub FX (he'll be making music for the game like previous Wipeout games), and lots of PCs for being able to play the multiplayer portion of the game. I'm going to head there early, like really early, so that I get a spot on one of the PCs. :D

If anyone from the UK is interested and most likely get to meet with the devs then you can grab a ticket here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/formula-fusion-the-war-party-ft-dub-fx-tickets-15513595582
I'd back if the console versions weren't that much more of the stretch goal. But I wish it well and does look good.
The way I see it is that if everyone that wants the console version thinks like that then you'll never reach the stretch goal. If you really want the console version then make it happen.

I don't feel like paying £20/£30 for just a possibility of being able to use my 'purchase'.

I might do one of the lower ones at some point though, just to support the creators of Wipeout.

You make it sound like he's got a plan for Formula 1 AG. :snicker

You can always change the pledge, even in the last second, if you feel that it won't meet the stretch goal then simply either remove your backing or just do a lower tier support. I'm going to ask about the console version for those that don't want the PC version.

Didn't know you could do that.

What you do is click on "manage your pledge" then at the very bottom is the link to "cancel your pledge". So essentially there is no risk in losing your money if you feel that it won't succeed.

The PS4 might get a release regardless of the stretch goal. You won't get a ps4 copy through the kickstarter (I assume). I'll probably support them regardless.

They're currently thinking of an option in order for you to switch to whichever platform you want assuming the console stretch goal is achieved. I'm not sure how this will be done but they're looking into it now.

Moved this to Official Threads! ;)

I never really liked Wipeout and I'm quite sure this isn't a game for me either.

And that's the first stretch goal hit, we will now have the game at least on the PC with a later PS4 release pending a Sony response. Super excited! Let's spread the word more to hit that £100k so that the console pledge is hit.

Well even if they only get £35k, they did say that they would release a PS4 version but it would take longer than the PC version rather than at the same time.

Well here's hoping that when the TPP build is released this week that the gameplay will make people go "ooo". There isn't any gameplay shown yet which is probably why it has plateaued. I'm a Gold TPP member and I've already asked if I can post up YT videos of it everywhere and the answer was yes, so come this week I'll be streaming this sucker. :)

For those that got confused about what's what in the pledges, here's the official comparison chart to clear things up.
