Completed the game on the hardest difficulty in about 65 hours, and 2 trophies short of Plat (one of them is hidden, so I have no idea what it is, and the other one is smacking the 23 stupid Grazer dummies). Maybe I'll come back to it one day and Plat it, but I don't play games for trophies, so I really don't care that much (I have the trophy notification disabled, so I don't even know when I earn a trophy until I look at the trophy list after the fact).
Great game with phenomenal graphics, and really enjoyed the story development--in fact, the whole idea behind HADES made me think about redundancy systems in real life and appreciate my line of work (programming distributed systems). When all else fails... well, finishing that sentence would be a spoiler

!
I don't have much complaints other than the fact that some machines are excruciatingly annoying to fight (Glinthawks, usually). They're not hard, since they barely do any damage as it's easy to dodge their ice blasts... but flying enemies are just
so darn annoying! Even though I'm playing on the hardest difficulty and I have low health, I love rambo'ing and smacking enemy machines until they die (or I die--though the latter is a much rarer occurrence

).
Also nearing the end of the game, the variety of machines dwindle and it becomes more of a chore than anything to engage them in fights; I mean, 65 hours is a lot of time to spend fighting the same two dozen enemy types...
Hahahaha... yep, exactly how I feel. Nier Automata? Ugh... so bland
.
I feel the same after playing Horizon for 90 hours and though I beat the main story I am still playing the extra stuff. The controls and character movement compared to HZD is a pain too now that I can focus more on NieR. It feels like I am playing a PS2 game and really shows you the gap between Sony's developers and most third party these days. Back on the PSX and PS2 they were equal, but since the PS3 there is a clear separation when it comes to game design and polish. This is why first party games are important. Anyway, the ending was interesting and sets up for a sequel.
