Thanks for the links guys, got a story up on the homepage for Josie!

http://www.psu.com/news/26353/New-Tekken-7-character-announced

Also, what's with Tekken 7 and this move where you hit an opponent in the air, and they land with their legs sticking up, allowing you to juggle them more? I thought the whole 'bound' idea was scrapped ala Tekken Revolution, but isn't this just the same thing but a different look?

I was hoping the ridiculous emphasis on juggles would be toned down somewhat. I stopped playing Tekken Tag 2 due to this, you'd spend half the match in the air, bloody awful.

Nice.

Well I guess they didn't fully remove bound and Tekken Revolution was only an experimental Tekken game and not something they (So far) will add to future Tekken games. But don't forget that this is the arcade version of the game so things might change depending on the feedback they get from Japanese and Korean Tekken players with a TEKKEN-NET account. Plus the feedback they get from the tournaments (In Japan/Korea or in Europe/USA) they go to which Final Round 18 was the latest one they went to.

You guys could perhaps try to contact them via either Namco Bandai or tweeting Harada_TEKKEN and asking him about it via a single question or maybe an interview. And if not now then at E3 2015.

But yeah I think Tekken 7 will be better than Tekken 6 for sure.

PS: I wish that I could delete some posts so it doesn't look like I'm spamming or something :/

Me and you are in the same boat I gave up Tekken after TTT2 I couldn't take that, and I don't want to learn the system. Because it's mostly BS it's over the top juggle friendly, and if this is the trend that continues that does it for me and fighting games for the rest of my life lol.

Also I do like how people say bound was taken out in TR, but somehow he scrapped it only to put it back in and call it Tailspin...bound? Basically it's Bound with another name.

I think what's really throwing me over the edge truly is there are finishers now, and I'm sitting here to myself thinking "Why did taken ever need finishers that's been Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat territory forever now". That's why I like those games they've had it about forever.

I guess it's a taste thing. I like juggles. Sure, the longer the juggles are, the more ridiculous it gets. But I honestly don't think they're ridiculously long from what I've seen so far. The shorter the juggles are, the better, I agree about that.

Very true mate!

I'm glad to see a few of you guys actually agree with me; it's refreshing considering most of the Tekken community seems to thrive on them. Granted, they are technically impressive to watch, but fighting against these so-called 'pro players' online is like battling a robot. It's just the same stuff over and over again. There's no variation.

Anyway, I agree it's all about taste. I actually don't mind juggles to some extent; prior to the bound, they were just right IMO, and they were actually quite tricky to pull off sometimes as you were limited without the bound.

I can tolerate bound, but when you throw in Tag Combos ala Tekken Tag 2, it just got completely ridiculous. I think I'm 505/50 right now, they don't look too bad, but still...I'll have to wait and see.

And yeah, Tekken 7 definitely seems like the bound is back, just with another name. Not sure how much it can be exploited to extend a combo, but we'll see.

That aside, the game looks great, no doubt about it! Can't wait to give Kazuya a go, he's always been my favourite, as far back as Tekken on the PSOne!

Part of me says 'buy it when it's out', other part of me says 'meh'.

I'm not sure whether or not I'll get it..
I never really played much Tekken, though when I enjoyed it... Doubts..

I'm loving what I've seen of Tekken 7. I love the graphics, love the art style, LOVE the new character designs. Love the animations. I love EVERYTHING. I guess the only minor downside is the potentially too long juggles.

I can't wait for your review of it since you guys do get review copies of the game. I'm sure that it won't get below a 7/10 :)

Btw there's a fighting games tournament going on in the UK that you might be interested in if you want to try the arcade version of Tekken 7...

I say wait for it and see what happens. You should maybe tweet the game's director @Harada_TEKKEN and tell him what you feel about this in a very nice way.

In older Tekken's those were just right, and then T6 came in things changed at first it wasn't rage quit inducing, but it quickly got that way. In TTT2 it was just downright insulting when you have people only practicing the launchers, and that's all I literally quit anytime I felt like I was going to have to put down the controller, or just gave up completely, and I was a big fan of Tekken. I'm not saying I was an expert player not even going to make that claim, but I was decent.

Still whatever happens I'll wait, but I did say after Tag 2 I was done with Tekken "forever" after that.
Will do :)

@Arimax: maybe give it a second chance? ;)
If I do I'll have to wait for user reviews/video reviews/company reviews/gameplay videos etc lol.

If I watch a gameplay video of it on PS4/X1, and I get pissed off even from that it's a no go cause most likely I'll be upset just playing it, and if I do get it at all it will only be for novelty purposes(just cause I've been a fan since T2).

Actually sum it all up coming here if I see any of you are "not very happy" or showing signs of some disappointment then that will also affect my purchase.

On another note only characters I like are Katrina and I forgot the Arab fighter name they feel the most "Tekken oriented" from the new ones that's been shown. There are only 5 new ones right(6 Kazumi).

I think all new characters are tekken oriented, some people dislike the cosplay girl character, and Harada joked that he might replace it with something else for the American release. But I'm pretty sure he won't. I see where they're coming from though, that character does feel kinda out of place in Tekken.

6 and there's still one left to be revealed.

But I think you should wait and give it a chance.

If there's something wrong or something that annoys a lot of people so will they surely remove it.

Well despite the cat girl being out of place Harada always wanted to have a character like her. Remember years ago I played for the story but I too will check reviews when it releases to give me an idea. Liked all the old Tekken's 1-3 and Tag Tournament 1,2. Didn't like Tekken 6 that much. So i'll give it a rent when it releases.

I agree with the point about the juggle system I didn't like it in 6 especially when an enemy hits ya then getting juggled and takes of like nearly half your health but liked it in Tekken Tag 2 a bit more since I didn't mind it since you had a partner.

As for the new characters I have a feeling I will like Claudio and Shaheen.
