This thread is simple. Talk about the games you're playing this weekend, whether it's an older game from your collection or a new game you just picked up.

Let us know what platform you're playing on, general thoughts of the game, and more.

-----

I'll get things started...This weekend I'm playing through Final Fantasy XV. Back when I originally bought the game I had a base PS4 and due to the extensive load times in the game, I lost interest and shelved the game. However, now I have a PS4 Pro with a 1TB Crucial SSD and the game boots up super quick. Load times are reduced to mere seconds, so I've started a brand new game and going to playthrough it. I'll also probably be playing some Teamfight Tactics on PC this weekend. Trying to get back up to Diamond rank.

My goal is to play through a bunch of my older PS4 games that I never got around to playing, like Horizon Zero Dawn, Dragon Age Inquisition, etc. However, once Cyberpunk 2077 drops in a couple weeks, that'll probably be the only game I play for a while.

I'm playing Mass Effect Andromeda (PS4) right now. I think I'm pretty close to the end of the game. At the moment I'm trying to finish all the side quests that I haven't finished. This game is part of my backlog that I'm trying to get through before I get a PS5.

I'm enjoying myself with this game, even though it's not quite as good as the base trilogy. I played the Mass Effect trilogy on PC, this is the first game in the series that I play on console. If it wasn't for all the technical flaws this game would be almost on par with the base trilogy, imo. I've been encountering severe framerate dips (down to what feels like 10-15 fps), the game freezing up every now and then when driving the car on the planets and various bugs and glitches. I don't think this has anything to do with me playing on a base PS4, I had the same problems when I played it on the PS4 Pro. And of course the well known facial animations of this game that are ok in some places and really terrible in some places.

Other than that I'm really liking the game. It's probably gonna land on a 7/10 or something like that for me.

Yeah, I will probably pre order Cyberpunk 2077, but I'll wait to play it until i get my PS5.

Just got back from my honeymoon in Vegas. Haven't played games in almost two weeks. Thinking of playing Final Fantasy XV some more and maybe some Fall Guys tonight.

I hope you had a good time and stayed safe.

I've been playing Vampyr (PS4) this weekend. At first I didn't feel this game at all. Mainly because of the combat, but other things too. It feels like they are going for a souls-ish type combat which is not my favourite style of combat. I felt really under leveled in the beginning and was struggling quite a bit. Lucky for me I'm not the type who gives up on a game really early in. I've learned through the years that alot of games (and movies) can't be judged by how they start out. This game has really grown on me, it gets better and better.

This weekend I'll be playing Destiny 2 Beyond Light on PC and Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War on PS4 Pro. I might throw in some Final Fantasy XV too as a break from FPS games. Currently on Chapter 7 in FFXV, but my characters are level 45 already. Lol. Been doing all the side quest shit.

I'm still playing Vampyr. I'm in chapter 4 now. The game has grown on me quite a bit since I started playing it. I didn't know this games was going to be this long when I started playing it. I thought it would be maybe 15-20 hours max. I read somewhere that it's about 40 hours long in an average playthrough, that ususally means it will be almost double that for me. I like to take my time and explore, do all side quests I can find and so on. I'm not the type who just runs through the main story as fast as possible.

Started playing the Pirates scenario in Civilization VI and it's pretty addictive. Probably going to play that and also start a new Franchise in Madden NFL 21, since they finally released the franchise mode update.

I've been playing Shadow of the Colossus the last couple of days. So far I really don't see what all the praise is coming from. I have beaten the 9th out of the 16 bosses. BluePoint has done a good job with the remake (remaster), the game is quite visually pleasing. The actual fights are quite fun. But other than that the game is extremely simplistic and one dimensional. The story is almost non-existent, the world is completely empty and there's no side activities at all. Maybe this game was good compared to what was out there during the PS2 generation, that's why it has gotten so much praise.

...and yeah, I forgot about the camera in Shadow of the Colossus. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a camera in a game. I constantly have to fight against it to be able to see what I'm doing.

I'm playing Dying Light. I've started playing it several times (both solo and with friends), but this time I'm going to play it all the way through. It's not that I didn't like the game that made me not finishing it, there was just always something else coming in between distracting me. But now I'm more determined to play through all the games I start playing, since I'm working with my backlog.

I forgot to post this, but I finally achieved the platinum trophy in Final Fantasy XV this last weekend. Glad to finish that game up and move onto something new. Started playing The Outer Worlds and about half way through it already.

I'm still playing Dying Light. I think I have gotten further into the game than before. I'm enjoying it so far. I really liked the Dead Island games and this is really similar to those games.

Played Starcraft 2 on very low settings in a laptop as I currently don't have a videocard or console in my room :/

It was a nightmare btw, so I only played one coop mission.

StarCraft 2 is alright. Not sure if it's because of nostalgia, but I actually prefer going back and playing StarCraft Remastered more. Love me some Brood War. And as a side note, super disappointed with Blizzard for WarCraft 3: Reforged.

---------- As For What I'm Playing This Weekend ----------

I beat The Outer Worlds and Resident Evil 2 Remake last weekend, so I'm completely free to jump into Cyberpunk 2077 this weekend. I played maybe 2hrs of it on Wednesday night, but most of that was just creating my character, setting my visual settings, and getting through the prologue / tutorial stuff. I'll be updating my thoughts on the game after the weekend in my community reviews/impressions thread over here.

I'm still playing Dying Light. Since I'm that kind of a player who wants to do a lot of side quests and exploring, this is going to take some time to get through. But I'm really liking it so far.

I'm thinking of going through some of my backlog on PC too, so I might play the next game I choose on PC.

I am still waiting for my ps5 to arrive, since it is 1050 usd in Turkey, I have to get it from europe but thanks to covid I am locked down in here. My list is getting bigger each day, since I missed last year of ps4.

All I play these days are Dark Souls 3 run with my boi on one X, and Legends of Runeterra on PC

Yikes! That's alot. I thought we (in Sweden) payed alot for the PS5's (a bit over $700 for the disc version). Good luck getting it from Europe, even if it wasn't for covid. We're not exactly prioritized to get PS5 units here, right now they are focusing on getting units to the NA (US) market mostly.

The price is beyond resonable so I would never buy from here even if I could do. Yea mate, they only did one or two at most restock to amazon and they dried immediately. it wasn't took even half an hour, I wonder when will be the day that one can go to a shop and buy one casually.

My guess would be late spring/early summer in a best case scenario in Europe, but probably later than that.

Apparently the story missions towards the end counts for more progression. I've only done a couple of story missions since it was almost 60% and now it's 87% all of a sudden.

Cyberpunk 2077 for me. Just got to level 25, so half way to the level cap of 50. Just doing side missions / gigs and building up my eddies.

PS5 already arrived but it's wrapped for xMas. Decided to do so since my wife bought me the extra controller, controller charger and 1 game for that night. =)

Videocard will take some time so I'm left with no gaming almost 1 month now. Waiting for xMas like a kid hehe.

StarCraft 2 is alright. Not sure if it's because of nostalgia, but I actually prefer going back and playing StarCraft Remastered more.

What I like about SC2 is mutations. They can be pretty challenging and there's a new one each week. Not as stressful as vs. (to me) so it's a perfect game to kill time and train the brain to me.

Finished cyberpunk 2077 my worries was not about the bugs ( played on One X), but it was about the gangs and world itself, I would love factions to be much more clearer and it matters but as far as I played it did not. ( finished the main storyline and side quests that atually looks important)

Started also Valhalla, a very classic AC game it is. It is fun but that is it. At least we have new kind of skill three and new fighting system.
