More Horizon Forbidden West for me. I'm about 110 hours in now. Yeah, I know, it's a lot. ;) I'm almost finished with the main story (I think) and I've done almost all side quests and a lot of the other side activities. I think I'm going to go for the platinum, it feels like it's within reach.

F1 season opener this weekend, so staying up watching F1 coz i suck at getting up (particularly when its 4 in the morning lol). Me and my friend jack can stay up disagreeing with the pundits lol.

Been meaning to finish off the Tomb Raider series, so maybe try and find time for that. If it's anything like the last two, the second of which i never actually finished, i should be able to maintain an appetite for it with the time i find. Not looking forward to it truth be told. But c'est la vie. Can't know the good stuff, if you never experience the bad. How that reboot managed to sell still baffles me to this day lol

I think i dropped 75-ish hours on a single Oblivion save back in the day. If you like the game you're playing, the time flies! :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I've also played the first game in the reboot-trilogy, and tried the second game a little bit. The first game was quite good (imo), if I remember it right. But it's no Uncharted (series), which I like a lot better. I really should play the last two games at some point, but I don't know when that will be, I have a lot of games I wanna play before that.

Yeah, and it definitely helps adding to that time if the game is huge and has lots of things to do, if you're doing a completionist-ish playthrough like I'm doing now. I'm absolutely loving most of the things in this game, so the motivation is definitely there. ;)

Only two months after buying my new PC, my RTX 3080 Ti gave out this last weekend while playing Elden Ring. Luckily, it's covered under the 1 year parts warranty with Cyberpower, so I'm shipping it back today for a replacement. Also, since I got the i9-12900k, my CPU technically has a built in GPU. I just can't run anything graphically intensive. So I'll probably be playing Teamfight Tactics or PS4 this weekend. Might try and finish Ni Nu Kuni 2 Revenant Kingdom or boot up Resident Evil Village.

That's really unlucky. I hope it gets solved as fast and painless as possible.

I finished Horizon Forbidden West last night, so my final thoughts on it will be posted in the Community Reviews & Opinions thread soon.

Now I'm finishing Kingdoms of Amalur, I don't think there's much left to play.

And after that I will start my first playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 (PS5).

Finished Elden Ring,it was a good and "Deep" game, occasionally boring (cause of its open world nature, with many repeated dungeons and enemies) Managed to avoid the "bad" ending, even tho i was almost sure i couldn't lol
What do you mean by avoid the bad ending? I was able to beat Astel, Naturalborn of the Void and complete Ranni's questline ensuring that I'll have at least that optional ending. Curious how many different endings there are. How did you alter your ending?

That's really unlucky. I hope it gets solved as fast and painless as possible.
Yeah, fingers crossed that Cyberpower is able to ship me a new one soon. And I'm hoping the issue was actually with the GPU and not my PCI slot or something with my motherboard.

My final thoughts about Horizon Forbidden West is posted now in the Community Reviews & Opinions thread.

I finished Kingdoms of Amalur yesterday. It was a quite ok/good game overall. It definitely shows its age, with jankyness here and there, and the visuals shows its age even though it's a remaster. The beginning of the game was kind of meh to me and didn't quite suck me in. But it got better and better the further in I got. Overall it was an ok experience. I would probably give it around a strong 6 or a weak 7 out of 10 if were to give it a score.

So, I'm probably going to start playing Cyberpunk 2077 today.

I started playing Cyberpunk 2077 this week and that's what I'm going to play this weekend. So far I like it, but after playing Horizon Forbidden West this game feels a bit unpolished and janky in comparison. I'm not very far into the game yet (I think). I've mainly focused on Intelligence, with Technical Ability as my second focus and I've put a little bit into Body so that I can take some beating at least. I'm hoping there's some really cool hacks you can do later on in the game.

Haven't played since Shadow of the Tomb raider. Game was kinda trash imho... i blitzed through the most of the story (i think. stopped playing at some refinery after i burst out laughing a some emo scene), but im not entirely sure the "bad" guy is a "bad" guy. His list of kills seems to be only a dozen or so. Lara on the other hand has murdered innocent women and children en masse, and showed no remorse for having done so... i dunno man, kinda hard sell as a hero. Not too sure why people like this series...

That aside, will get some gaming in this weekend. Days Gone was half off for the weekend (longest weekend in history according to steam; some 2 weeks, but okay), and i planned to pick it up eventually. Given my last play session, i kinda need something to wash off the bad taste lol

Before the 1.3 patch the hacks were super overpowered. You could decimate an entire building. They've toned it down some since however. I'm not too sure what works best now.
But yeah, definitively a bit of jank around the edges, and not polished up to Sony's standards. Just a good action rpg.

Well, the hacks I've got so far is definitely not over powered, but I haven't got that far into the game yet (I think). I've been doing quite a lot of side stuff to try to earn money, but my progress in that area has been really slow, maybe there's a better way to earn money, idk.

I'm enjoying it so far, so unless I encounter a big game breaking bug, I will continue playing it.

Mostly playing Teamfight Tactics until my new GPU is mailed back from Cyberpower. Although, my wife and I recently started Borderlands 3 on PS4. So maybe we'll play more of that this weekend. I still need to finish Ni No Kuni 2: Reveant Kingdom too.

I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 for over 60 hours now and I'm enjoying it so far, I'm definitely not finished yet. Once I started to get decent gear this game became way more fun to play than it was in the beginning. In the beginning I felt weak and that there wasn't much I could do, both because of difficulty and the lack of money. Now I feel quite powerful and I have a lot of fun things to play around with. If this continues it will be a really good game for me, despite its many flaws.

I finished the main story of Cyberpunk 2077 yesterday, and I'm just finishing some of the side/world activities right now. Overall I liked the game, but it's definitely not up to their (CD Projekt Red) "normal" standard, imo. Most of the time it's fun to play and quite enjoyable, but in most aspects (if not all) this is an inferior game to Witcher 3 (which was their last game before this one). The main and side story(ies) are not up to the same level at all and the characters didn't feel as strong either. The game had a lot of bugs and glitches, even today this long after release. There's also an overall lack of polish, that I kind of expect from a game of this level (a big AAA game). But there's also good things to say about this game. It has fun gameplay mechanics (quickhacking etc), the combat is quite enjoyable, the world (city) and the overall theme of the game is something I liked among other things. So, a lot of things about the game I enjoyed, but it feels like there's definitely room for improvement. Hopefully the game will get more "fixes" and more content, because I enjoyed it enough to want to experience more of it.

Now I'm wondering what I should play next. Should I continue with the cyberpunk genre and get The Ascent or something else? All I know is that I want a "shorter" game, since my last three games have been really long.

Finally got my GPU replacement from Cyberpower. They sent me an EVGA RTX 3080 Ti XC3 12GB. Got it installed last night and updated all my drivers. Played a little bit of Black Ops Cold War and everything looked great. Looking forward to jumping back into Elden Ring this weekend. Also, I'm thinking of checking out Dune: Spice Wars.

Nice. I hope it works out for you this time. You've been quite unlucky so far with your new PC. First it took forever to get it and then there was this problem with the GPU.

Yeah, seriously. I probably will hold off on streaming for a bit. Not sure if that caused extra strain on the GPU the first time. Shouldn't have been an issue though. An RTX 3080 Ti can pretty much run any game at 1440p and stream without a problem. I need to figure out how to properly use my capture card too. Paid an extra $250 for it.

This weekend I plan on playing AoE2 Definitive Edition as they just released some free DLC adding 3 new civilizations. Might check out AoEIV as well since I haven't played it in a while. I was going to check out Dune: Spice Wars, but turns out it's still in Early Access and doesn't have a lot of features, including multiplayer yet. Might play some Crusader Kings III and jump into Destiny 2's Witch DLC. We'll see.

This weekend i will play the Ascent. So far its not at all bad,and the graphics are very appealing to me.
Same here. At first I felt like I was extremely under leveled for the enemies and I thought it was gonna be way too hard for me even on normal difficulty. I got my ass kicked by the smallest trash mobs in the beginning. And I really didn't get along with the controls at first, I found it very hard to aim. But now when I've leveled up a bit and got better weapons I don't feel under leveled any more. And I've grown more accustomed to the controls now, so that helps too. I'm really enjoying this game right now. The atmosphere and art style is really nice and I like that it's a twin stick action rpg with a story, which makes it feel like it has some substance. I've played a few twin stick shooters and most of them had no substance to them apart from just being able to switch weapons and gear pretty much. This has more to it than that. So, I'm enjoying this game quite a lot at the moment.

I'd share similar sentiments. It's a solid enough game, but didn't really change any sort of narrative. But what was there was enough for me to be hopeful for a sequel that does iron out the kinks and does for CDPR what Uncharted 2, to Uncharted did for ND - ie, get it right the second time and nail their vision.
I ended up getting The Ascent. They made the choice easier for me when they added it to the new sale this week on PlayStation Store. I got it for $20.
The Ascent is good fun. It does just enough imho given the team that worked on it.

They really dragged their feet on that one, no? Ah well, at least they got it back to you and you can get in some quality gaming time again!

Been slowly playing through Days Gone. It's a solid enough title, it's a bit like a more open ended TLoU with a less compelling story. I do find it really odd though that you'll go to a camp and they'll bemoan their dire resource situation, and you'll turn around and merrily hop on a gas guzzling chopper, but ok. But i also get the idea. Trying to picture this story going down with anything other than the chopper makes things seem a bit silly... Horses could have worked tho, and all they run on is grass... but horses would hit different.

That said, been playing Squad this weekend. They released the Aussie army and we've been meaning to hop on and give it a go. Everyone got time so made a bit of a weekend out of it just slogging from point to point... the struggle was real lol
Good fun tho. Since we game on the aussie servers it was good to see them go from 3 or 4 active servers to 12-15 servers each with 100 people in them, and each with a queue to join.

Crusader Kings III, Teamfight Tactics and hopefully some Elden Ring for me this weekend. Didn't get a chance to play Elden Ring last weekend as I got sucked into playing Age of Empires IV, COD: Black Ops Cold War and StarCraft 2 most of the weekend.

I'm finished with the main story now in The Ascent, I'm just gonna finish up some side activities and then I'm done with the game. I really enjoyed this game and I would recommend this to anyone who like twin stick shooters and like games with rpg elements in them. Even though the shooting/combat is the main focus in this game there's more to it than just that, which I personally like.
