Same games as a while back lots of FFXIV plus back playing Xenoblade 3 again and Trails from Zero which is really good so far. Considering picking up Star Ocean The Divine Force if its decent or has good amount of content like Star Ocean 3.

I've been playing A Plague Tale: Requiem for a couple of days now and so far I like it. I liked the first game and this lives up to that so far. But I would recommend those who can't stand 30fps and is sensitive to unstable frame rates to wait a bit to play this on PS5. I don't know if there will ever be a 60fps mode, but the game is definitely in need of a patch that fixes the performance issues. Apparently it's not very optimised on any platform, it's really "demanding" on PC too (according to reviews, SkillUp among others). Other than that I'm enjoying my playthrough, I'm liking it enough to keep playing it even with the frame rate dips.

I finished A Plague Tale: Requiem during the week and overall I really liked it. I would say that it's a little bit better than the first one. As I've mentioned earlier, one of the biggest negatives about this game is the performance on PS5. Other than that it has the same problems as the first game, with controls making some fights really frustrating, to me at least. Pretty much everything else is positive, imo. The visuals, the setting/atmosphere, the soundtrack, the story, the voice acting is really good. Most of the time the gameplay & combat is good and satisfying. I really enjoyed my playthrough.

So, after finishing the game I was trying to decide if I should go back to Deep Rock Galactic or start a new playthrough of this game in NG+ and try to get some more trophies, while I wait for God of War. I decided to go for NG+ in this game, so now I'm on my second playthrough.

So, I ended up going for the platinum trophy in A Plague Tale Requiem, and I finished that yesterday. Now I'm back playing Deep Rock Galactic, until next week when God of War Ragnarok releases.
Dope. I think I'll pick Plague Tale up on Black Friday. Game looks amazing. I'm also getting God of War Ranarok this next week. Looking forward to diving into that.

I've started to play God of War: Ragnarok and so far it's very good. I'm only a few hours in, so I'm just in the very beginning of the game. The game runs really smooth (in the Favour Performance mode), the visuals are even better than the 2018 game (feels sharper, more detailed etc.), the gameplay and combat feels just as good (if not better) than the 2018 game and I've already encountered a few new enemies that wasn't in the 2018 game. So I guess this is what I'll be playing this weekend. ;)

My copy of the game finally came in the mail. Looking forward to start it this weekend.

Here are some new playthrough's I've livestreamed. Been enjoying God of War Ragnarok a lot.

In this gameplay session, I close down the remaining dwarven smoke stack mines. Then make my way to the main entrance to the mine that takes us to Tyr. There are several water way & water mill puzzles to complete and a few side areas to explore. Before finding Tyr, I had to fight a few human gaurds who carry bifrost weapons.

This gameplay session follows Kratos and Atreus through Alfheim and the Barrens. Starting with the Secret of the Sands quest. You'll be able to see all the Throwing Axe Puzzles / Red Vine Hive Puzzles. Eventually we free the giant flying jellyfish known as Hafguf. The next section covers Atreus in the dreamworld of Ironwood, where we meet Angrboda and learn more of the prophecy of Loki. After helping her complete a few daily chores, we run into her grandmother, Grýla. A boss battle ensues against the giant, where Atreus and Angrboda must destroy her cauldron. Upon leaving the dreamworld of Ironwood, Atreus finds himself back at home, where it's been infested by frost dragur. Kratos shows up and we have a run in with our first Valkyrie, who turns out to be Faye.

Playing more God of War this week. Here is my latest stream. In this gameplay session, Kratos ventures Vanaheim with new party companion Freya. During this adventure, I completed several favors including Garden for the Dead Favor, The Mysterious Orb Favor, Cure for the Dead Favor, and Freya's Missing Peace favor. Also came across a few bosses and treasures.

Here are some of my gameplay sessions from over the weekend playing God of War Ragnarok.

This gameplay sessions follows Atreus to Asgard to find Odin and become his apprentice. During this playthrough we meet new characters such as Heimdall, Thor's wife Sif, and Thor's daughter Thrúd. After getting a tour of Asgard, Odin's sends Atreus and Thor on a mission to Muspelheim to search for one of the Mask fragments.

In this gameplay session I work on completing a few side mission favors in Midgard and Alfheim. I fight a few mini bosses including a Berserker, The Hateful draguar hole, and frost phantoms. I also complete a few puzzles to unlock some loot and chests.

I'm finished with the main story in God of War: Ragnarok now. But I still have some side content and such to finish, and I think I'm going to go for the platinum.

Haven't had a chance to play any games this weekend yet. Took my wife out to dinner and the Nutcracker on Friday. Yesterday, we ran errands and went to a co-workers Christmas party. Then today, we're putting up the Christmas tree. Might try and play some DMZ in Call of Duty tonight or God of War, but we'll see.

I've finished God of War Ragnarok now (and gotten the platinum). It's an amazing game, definitely one of the best this year. I don't know if it manages to take GotY title for me, it's pretty even between this and Horizon Forbidden West, but it's up there.

The first game was amazing too, but they've made some improvements here and there in the second game that makes it even better. I had pretty much no problems at all with performance, bugs and glitches during my playthrough. I liked the story, the (new) characters, the new enemies (the variety was alot better than the first game), the improvements to combat and traversal and so on.

If I'm going to be nitpicky about some things I personally wish were better or different it would be de difficulty level of some of the toughest enemies (some of the Berserkers and another "end game" enemy that is just as hard, if not harder) in the game. Just like the first game I think the difficulty level on these are a bit above what you can expect from Normal Difficulty. But this is mainly a personal thing, since I'm not a big fan of extreme difficulty (like the Souls games for example). The aim assist is quite sticky in this one too, not as bad as it was in the first game though. I'm glad they tuned down the grind a bit in this game, even if it's still there, if you wanna do everything and platinum the game. No photo mode on release, but they added it today (I think). But as I said, this is just nitpicky stuff, overall this game is amazing.

Now I will start playing The Callisto Protocol. I hope it's really good too.

I'm playing The Callisto Protocol at the moment and I have mixed feelings about this game. The visuals, sound and atmosphere etc. is really nice. But one very important thing that stands out like sore thumb is the combat and movement of the character. It's all really janky and clunky unfortunately. I've gotten into it a bit more now, but in the beginning I really hated the combat, especially the dodge mechanic. It's not bad enough for me to quit playing the game, but it gets really annoying sometimes.

And since they released a demo of Forspoken I'm most likely going to download that and give it a try.

I agree. I'm very picky in what games I buy and while it looks really good there's too much that I don't like.
For a full price game it's too short. Mostly linear with little backtrack. Melee combat is seen as the priority and the moveset is very limited. It was made for one-on-one not multiple enemies. Slow camera.
I'll finish watching someone's gameplay so I can watch the story but it's a No on my To Buy list.

Going to try and finish up the main story campaign in God of War Ragnarok this weekend. Also, started playing the new Teamfight Tactics set yesterday. Already got to Silver IV. Loving the new changes to TFT and ARAM.

I tried the Forspoken demo during the weekend and it was not bad, but it was not amazing either. What I got to play felt good enough that I would like to play it at some point. I don't think I'm willing to pay full price for it though, but if it comes down to $30-$40 I could see myself getting it.

I've finished The Callisto Protocol now. And it's definitely not as good as I hoped it would be. Unfortunately some aspects of the game really drags it down as a whole. Such as the janky and clunky combat and movement and a terrible save system. The combat got less annoying when I got used to it, but that doesn't really change the fact that it was quite bad. The main characters movement felt like moving through water or like he was carrying around a safe or something, really slow. The good things about the game is the visuals, sound design and overall atmosphere of the game. The story was serviceable, not much more. The characters were ok. The dualsense implementation was really good. I feel like I'm generous if I give it a 6/10, but I think it's a 5-6/10 for me. You don't have to take my word for it, but if you ever concider playing this I would recommend waiting for a sale or if it shows up on PS Plus or Game Pass. I payed $53 (incl. tax) for it and I think that's a bit too much.

Well, now I'm going to play Biomutant, since it was included in PS Plus this month. I hope it's good.
