I finished Alien Isolation yesterday, turned out I was really close to the end. It was a really good game. They really managed to capture the Alien feeling with everything from visuals and art design to music and audio design. It was not without its flaws, but overall a really good game, imo.

I got a bit inspired by the trailer for Trine 5 and I needed a short game to play, so I got Trine 3 on Steam (it's on sale at the moment). I've only played the first two.

I've finished Trine 3 (on PC) now. It was a nice little game, but definitely not as good as the first two. It felt way shorter and it felt like they didn't put much effort into the story at all. The first two games didn't exactly have a deep story either, but it felt more coherent and complete. I liked the gameplay in Trine 3 though, that didn't differ that much from the first two games, except that there was depth movement in this one. And this is the first one I've played with mouse and keyboard, the first two I played on console, so that felt a bit wierd in the beginning.

Tomorrow I'm starting to play the Burning Shores DLC (Horizon Forbidden West).

I started playing Burning Shores this week and so far it's really good, imo. So that's what I'm going to play this weekend. I might check out Dead Island 2 a little bit too, it was released today.

I recently bought Timberborn and Riftbreaker on Steam. They both were on sale. So I plan on putting some time into them this weekend. Both are strategy / simulation city-builders.

Timberborn reminds me a lot of the Anno series (although less complicated and with beavers).

Riftbreaker reminds me a lot of Starship Troopers, except you're in a Mech and building a base / gathering resources.

Back to FFXIV with the Moogle Tombstone events coming next week as well as 6.4 patch coming soon. Finally got around to finish Kingdom Hearts 3 while the ride is fun but not as good as the others especially lack of side content wise compared to the others. Got FFIX Remastered recently since I feel like the old school type FF again. I tried Guilty Gear Strive don't like it as much compared to the other Guilty Gears. Playing little bit of Kena there and there.

I'm still playing Burning Shores and I've really been enjoying it so far. I don't think I have very much left to play, I think I'm quite close to the end and I'm almost finished with the exploration. So that is what I'm playing this weekend. If I finish it during the weekend I will probably start playing Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

I wish I had time to play both of those games. I might jump back into Hogwarts Legacy this weekend or Elden Ring. I need to beat both games so I can feel comfortable starting something new.

"Luckily" I'm not interested in any of those games, I would be even more busy if I were. ;)

I'm actually trying to decide if I'm going to play Dead Island 2 (PC) after Burning Shores instead of Star Wars (PS5), since Star Wars has some performance issues on all platforms (worst on PC). I wanna play it in the performance mode (60fps), but that's the mode that has the most problems it seems. I'm more hyped for Star Wars, but I don't know if I should take a chance and start playing it hoping the performance issues doesn't bother me too much or if I should start with Dead Island 2 so that some patches has time to be released while I play that.

I finshed Burning Shores yesterday and I really liked it. It was more of a game (Horizon Forbidden West) that I had as my GotY last year. I really can't find anything significant to complain about. It was visually impressive, the performance (in performance mode) was really smooth and I didn't notice any frame rate drops, the exploring and the quests was pretty much at the same level as the main game, good new characters and a few new machines. And the dualsense implementation was really good, imo. The storytelling was pretty much on par with the main game.

I decided to go with Dead Island 2 (on PC) as my next game. I'm hoping that at least one performance patch (for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor) will be released while I play this.

I'm still playing Dead Island 2 and I'm enjoying it so far. It's basically more Dead Island with a bunch of improvements and that's pretty much what I expected it to be. I liked the first game and Riptide, so this doesn't disappoint so far.

I'm still playing Dead Island 2. I'm pretty far into it right now, only a few missions left on the main story. But I'm trying to do as much of the side content as possible so I probably still have quite a lot of play time left.

I played a lot of DIablo IV over the weekend during the Server Slam. Got my buddy to join as well. We hit the level 20 cap the first night on Friday and then grinded all weekend for better gear. I played the Necromancer this time around, although from what I've read online, they nerfed the crap out of it. Summons were fine for most of the game, but didn't do much when it came time to fight the World Boss Ashvana. We were finally able to beat it during the last spawn time on Sunday, but we had to switch down to World Tier 1 to do it. Looking forward to the full game release in June.

I'm pretty much finished with Dead Island 2 (PC) now. I've only got some collectibles I wanna get before I'm done with the game. Overall I've been really enjoying my playthrough. It's a solid game that delivers what I expected of it and more in some aspects. The visuals and effects (gore) is really nice, the gameplay/combat is solid and fun, the story is ok and some of the characters you meet is funny and interesting. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who liked the first game and Riptide. If I'm going to give it a score it would probably be something in line with a (weak) 8/10. A solid game that is fun to play, imo.

So, that means that I will start playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (PS5) today or tomorrow. I hope they have fixed the worst performance issues. I know they have released at least one performance patch on PS5.

I'm planning on playing the new Return of Rome DLC for Age of Empire 2 Definitive Edition this weekend. They ported in all the original AoE 1 civs and added Rome to AoE2 as a playable civilization.

I'm playing Star Wars Jedi Survivor (PS5) at the moment. And I'm enjoying the actual content so far, but all these performance issues with imput lag, frame rate dips and tearing is definitely making it harder to love this game at the moment. I really hope they push the next PS5 patch out soon and fix most of these issues.

I might also try the Alone in the Dark "demo" thing that's out now.

I'm still playing Star Wars Jedi Survivor and I think I've come quite far into it right now. I'm still enjoying my playthrough, but still no sign of a performance patch. I'm going to stay away from any of the more difficult side content fights since the performance issues makes them even harder (and more frustrating) than they really are. I've also had a few crashes so far. So I really hope that patch come out as soon as possible.

I also tried the Alone in the Dark demo. It was very short, but it looked polished and like it would be something I would enjoy.

I'll be playing Diablo IV all weekend. Started last night and already got my Sorcerer to level 26. About half through completing the first area, Fractured Peaks.

I just watched SkillUp's review (in progress) and while some aspects of the game looks like something I would really like to play, other aspects is just a big turn off for me. The fact that the game is a live service game now and that you can't play all content solo is dealbreaker for me. But who knows, maybe I will get it later down the line in a sale and play what content is solo friendly.

Yeah, I'm glad from what I've heard Diablo 4 is good.Currently catching up on old games then likely picking up a PS5 in a couple of weeks. See if there's anything good summer fest maybe MS Conference but most will likely be multiplatform, or the Xbox Exclusives are on PC if I want them but there's not much that interests me on it besides Elder Scrolls 6 or Tango GameWorks games. Honkai Star Rail will be great to play on PS since it's weird playing on mobile hopefully we hear about the console versions soon.

I'm still playing Star Wars Jedi Survivor. I think I'm pretty close to the end of the story, but I think I still have quite a lot of side content that I wanna do.

I'm finished with the main story and most of the side content in Star Wars Jedi Survivor now. The content itself was really good in this game, it's a really good sequel. But unfortunately it's still plagued with a lot of performance and instability issues. The game has crashed several times for me and the frame rate in the the performance mode is very instable and it has a lot of tearing. On top of that there's a lot of pop-in here and there. I'm guessing it might be better if you have a TV/monitor with VRR support, but if you don't (like me) it's going to be rough. The 30fps mode might be more stable, I haven't really tried it. And there has been no word on when the next performance patch is to arrive, but it doesn't matter much for me anyway, since I'm almost finished with the game.

I would say that the game in its current state is worth around a 7.5 - 8/10 for me, I had a lot of fun with it. If it wasn't for the technical issues the game would probably have landed somewhere around 9 - 9.5/10 for me. But unfortunately all these issues drags the score down quite a bit.

---------------------------

Since I'm almost finished with Star Wars Jedi Survivor I'm thinking about what to play next. I might download and test the Final Fantasy XVI demo if it's still available. I might also download and start playing Alan Wake, since I haven't played it very much and I wanna play Alan Wake 2. Does anyone know if it's hard to make a PS4/PS5 controller work properly with GoG? I know there's a software called PS4Windows or something like that. I just wish I could get PS prompts in game too, but that's probably not going to happen, unless there's some kind of mod that does that.

That's a bummer to hear that Jedi Survivor still has performance issues. It's on my wishlist.

I'll probably being mostly playing Diablo IV (level 55 Sorcerer now) and TeamFight Tactics (new Set 9 just came out) this weekend.

I played through the Final Fantasy XVI demo yesterday and I liked it. I don't have much to compare it to because I haven't really been invested in the FF series. I've only tried a couple of them a little bit, but never really sat down and played them seriously. I definitely wanna get and play this one at some point, I'm just not a 100% sure if I wanna pay $70 for it. I'm going to think about it a bit while I play Alan Wake, if I can get it to work with a PS4 controller (on GoG) that is. I really wanna play it with a controller because mouse and keyboard really felt wrong in that game.

FFXVI demo I liked. I can't wait to play the full game Thursday. The scenario writer for FFXVI is the same guy who wrote FFXIV Heavenward which is one of my favourite games ever. So I feel like I know the story is in good hands as well as the gameplay with DMC5 Director and Platinum Games who worked on Nier Automata Team helped with it.

Sounds like FFXXVI is worth picking up then, eh? I have it on my wishlist, but I just don't have time to jump into a massive JRPG right now. Still trying to beat Diablo IV. I'll probably pick up FFXVI around Black Friday if I can find it on sale.

As for what I've been playing...just the usual suspects. Diablo IV, Teamfight Tactics, and Age of Empires II DE.
