I've been playing Alan Wake for a few days now and so far I like it. I'm playing the original (PC) version, so some aspects of the game really shows its age, but overall I'm enjoying it. I managed to get my DualShock 4 to work with GoG and the game plays way better with a controller than mouse and keyboard, imo.

I'm done with Alan Wake (including the two extra dlc episodes) now and I really liked it. I really liked the story, the characters and the setting of the game. There are some areas where the games shows its age in a less positive way, like the visuals and the controls for example. But overall I really enjoyed it. So now I'm ready for Alan Wake 2.

I got Tales of Arise today for a little bit over $20 from one of the PS Store sales that's going on at the moment, so that's what I'm going to play next. I hope I'll like it.

I need to try and get back into Alan Wake. It felt harder to get back into it these days but I felt like playing it more when I played it on 360. I don't know what it is.
Tales of Arise might be an alright entry point to the Tales series. Since I'm a veteran of the series despite some graphics and the gameplay for me I liked the older titles more.
To say why will take me a while to explain.

Im playing through Final Fantasy XVI and God of War Ragnarok currently and trying to finish Valkyrie Elysium as well as Kasane's story on Scarlet Nexus since I got my PS5 over a week ago.

I've been playing Tales of Arise for over a week now and I've never played any of the Tales games before this one. Luckily I'm liking it and I'm enjoying my playthrough so far. So this is what I'm going to continue to play during this weekend.

My goal is to beat the Diablo IV campaign this weekend so I'm ready for when Season 1 launches on July 20th. I have to finish the campaign so I can get the remaining Altars of Lilith, so most of my renown will carry over.

Im trying to do similar stuff to last week brought Octopath Traveller 2 and Trinity Trigger (made by Mana team and I went back to play Trials of Mana again). Still taking my time going through FFXVI and some of those games I need to feel like finishing such as Scarlet Nexus and Valkyrie Elysium. Plus thinking on which version to pick up Trails of Reverie I already brought and beat the Japanese version on PS4 and got it on Steam too. I'm torn if I want the Switch version or the PS5 version of Trails of Reverie. Too many games to play!

I've been tempted serveral times to get Scarlet Nexus (Ultimate Edition, that includes all the story dlc's), since it's been on sale (on PS Store) for a good price a few times. I tried the demo and liked that. But so far I've ended up going for something else, but I will probably get it at some point.

Yeah like it's a fun game in places, cool setting and I personally prefer the graphic style more so than Tales of Arise. It's just the urge to feel like finishing it.

I finally beat the main campaign in Diablo IV. Got my Sorc to level 60. Started doing Hell Tides and dungeons. Trying to finish getting renown for all the territories. Finished exploring all areas and obtaining all the Altars of Lilith, so I should be good to go for when Season 1 launches.

I'm still playing Tales of Arise and I'm pretty far into it now I think. I've beaten the five lords of the five regions in the game. But I have a feeling the fifth lord is not actually dead and I might run in to him again at some point. I'm doing side quests at the moment to level up the characters a bit more to be able to beat some of the tougher enemies that are too hard at the moment. By too hard I mean that I almost don't do any damage to them and they one shot us, so I'm guessing that I'm under leveled for these enemies. I've also done a couple of main quests after "beating" the fifth lord. I'm still having fun with the game, so I will continue to play it and see what happens next.

I got Tiny Tina's Wonderlands - Chaotic Great Edition from the Steam summer sale, so that's what I'm going to play when I'm finished with Tales of Arise.

I bought Tales of Arise, but just haven't had time to jump into a new RPG. I bought Halls of Torment and Vampire Survivor as part of the Steam Sale, so I might check those out this weekend. Both games are pretty similar.

I finshed Tales of Arise last night and overall I really liked it. This was my first Tales-game. I thought it might be good, but didn't have any expectations beyond that. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I really liked the story, the characters, the setting and the gameplay. There were also a few things or smaller elements that wasn't great, but nothing that really bothered me much, just that there's room for improvement when it comes to certain aspects of the game. I did almost everyhing there is to do in the game, the only thing I didn't do very much was grinding the training grounds, I'm not the biggest fan of arena/horde mode kind of activities.

Now I'm going to play Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

You should definitely have a go at Tales of Vesperia and Berseria they're a bit more in depth though. Yeah there weren't much side activities besides fishing really. Older games usually have more side activities Berseria and Tales of Graces has a card game. Lot of JRPGs these days it's all just fighting same with Final Fantasy XVI.

I'm just near the end of Scarlet Nexus and Valkyrie Elysium finally. Having a break from work plus gaming and visiting Australia.
Trails of Reverie and Octopath Traveller 2 i'll focus on after that as well as doing a few bits and pieces within a month or so with FFXIV.

I'm playing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands at the moment. So far it has been almost like the Tiny Tina DLC from Borderlands 2 but with some new mechanics and features. As someone who really like the Borderlands series this is a good thing. I'm not very far into the game yet, so there might be more new things in there that I haven't encountered yet.

Got back completed Yuffie DLC on FF7 Intergrade, got Ratchet PS5 on sale as well as playing through Octopath Traveller and Trails of Reverie(Beat the Japanese version twice)
Nice set of games. I still have to get 100% completion on Integrade. Figured I'd jump back in before the release of Rebirth. I still have to play Ratchet & Clank too. I bought Octopath Traveler on Steam, but haven't had a chance to dive in yet.

Right now, I'm just playing through Season 1 of Diablo IV still. Almost to the last chapter.

Yeah I might do the same thing and just do more of the combat simulator.
I'm glad to play something like Ratchet which I prefer over most of PS exclusives now days. I hope Sony would do a Jak 2 Remake.

My bad I meant Octopath Traveller 2. I played the demo of 1 on Switch. I'll have to get it if it's ever on sale.

Hope you're enjoying Diablo 4! I might get it at some point. Just too many game to play.

I'm finished with Tiny Tina's Wonderlands now and I enjoyed the main game. It feels like a full game in the style of the Tiny Tina DLC from Borderlands 2, but with a few things that are different and new. It also feels very much like a Borderlands game, so if you like the Borderlands series (like I do) you will probably also like this.

Now to the bad part, which is the DLC's that is included in the season pass. All of them are just arenas, which I have no interest in, there's no new story or characters in them. Unfortunately I got the Chaotic Great Edition (that includes the season pass) without looking it up first. I thought the DLC's would be in the same style as the Borderlands series, but they are not. So, in short, I don't recommend "wasting" money on the DLC's, they are not worth it, imo.

I've just started playing Trine 4 (on PS5), so that's what I'm playing now. I wanted to play it before Trine 5 is released later this month.

I've finished Trine 4 now and it was a good one, imo. It was in the same style as the first two games. Trine 3 was a step back, but it was not bad, imo. But this one gives me hope for Trine 5 that is releasing at the end of this month. I'm planing on getting it and playing it when it releases.

So, I have to kill some time until Trine 5 releases so I decided to play something short. I downloaded Trek to Yomi (that was included with PS Plus in June) and it's actually quite fun so far. A little bit frustrating here and there, since I find it really hard to time the parries correctly all the time.

I finished Trek to Yomi yesterday. Overall I liked it. It really manages to capture that classic samurai movie (a la Akira Kurosawa) feel when it comes to the visuals and atmosphere in general. But the weakest part of the game is actually the controls and the combat. They are not terrible, imo, but is definitely its weakest parts. In a game with combat that relies a lot on blocking/parrying at the right moment this game feels a bit loose and inconsistent in the controls. First I though it was only because I'm bad at timing based combat (which I am), but I watched a few reviews and read about it and it seems like it's a "flaw" with the game. So, other than some frustrating moments with the combat, I enjoyed my playthrough of this game.

Now I'm just waiting for the release of Trine 5 on thursday. I've been checking out a couple of demos and I might check out one or two more while I wait for Trine 5.
