So i have finally sent my ps3 off for repairs after much trouble getting proof of purchase, but i finally did and i am left to decide what games to get...

These are my must buys and yes i know i am very far behind i never got an opportunity to play even the early exclusives..i am so pumped im going to be busy until the start of uni :)

Uncharted
MGS4
LBP
Topspin 3
Resistance 2
COD WAW
Bioshock
Fallout 3
Far cry 2
Civilization
Motostorm PR
Mirrors Edge

Possible Buys:
Warhawk
Heavenly Sword
RAC: TOD

What else do you think i should pick up i know there are a lot of games i was planning on picking up...Also is there anything on that list you would recommend not getting. There is just one thing i feel a little angry about...the fact when my warranty does run out (very soon) and i run into problems with my ps3, i will have to pay 300 (australian) dollars just to get it repaired...i could pick up an entirely new xbox for that much....im angry because i hate microsoft and how they do business but that is an awfully tempting offer nomatter what side of the fence you are on, not to mention the fact 360 games are also vastly cheaper than there ps3 counter parts in australia...so what can i do this time to maximise the chances of my ps3's survival, even though i treated my last console as a god, i did play dvd's on it quite frequently...i think this time its a gaming only machine

That's quite a good list you've got yourself there. I'd definitely recommend Heavenly Sword if your on the fence about that one, it's short but loads of fun. should find it cheap these days as well. Didn't realise ps3 games were more expensive in aus, why's that? Also I'll throw in GRID as a recommendation as a fantastic arcade racer.

id say you have a pretty good list there, the only one id add is Midnight Club LA.

yeah sucks about the prices but it all comes down to what you want in the end. if you still want the ps3 exclusives then you need a ps3.

Australia gets ripped on games. lol, Just happens.

Sorry about your PS3 OP. My friends PS3 just died a couple of days ago... bricked from overheating... he has to pay the $300 too...

Anyway, that is an awesome list you have! Im going to have to say Ratchet and Clank, one of my favs! Just a TON of fun.
Personally i wouldnt go for Top Spin of Civilisation just yetm unless you enjoy it of course, just go for the exclusives first and recent games. You know they will be a quality experience

Something to do with tax's or something, or plainly because the ps3 is not as popular or as widespread as the 360 yet although i have to admit the games have gotten a lot cheaper recently...before it was impossible to find a game under 70 dollers now they got a few at 40...and the the more expensive games are mostly the ports that came out a bit later on ps3 like bioshock, and the exclusives can be very expensive as well

Oh yeah i was lucky because i managed to get warranty despite having lost my recite.....just saying i hope it doesnt break down again

tell me about it. ive been thinking about getting MGS4 (i know i probably should have it already) but its still $110 at most places.

also do you have Burnout Paradise. yet another worthy purchase, and cheap at the moment.
