PlayStation Home closes today - bothered?

I thought it was already shut down. It was a neat idea but a lot of the things weren't followed through. I think only Everybody's Golf 5 used Home's features properly which included matchmaking from within the Home EG5 lounge, plus more - it was so well done, just a shame that no other developer followed suit.

I always forget this thing exists until the one or two articles a year remind me of it.

It's a neat little idea but was extremely impractical.

Amazing they did not port this over to the PS4. PS Home brought in so much revenue. Crazy how much money people spend on fake shit.

Did it? I know it made money, but I was unaware it made huge amounts.

Hell ya it did. PS Home sold so much crap like furnature, homes, clothes, pets, ect.

I bet its closed up so they can start porting it over to PS4.

Is this just anecdotal because I cant find anything about it making serious dosh for Sony. Quite the opposite, it made money for a lot of third party sellers.
I couldn't believe they would close something that was making decent amounts of money.

I was one of those people. I saw the 2007 GDC demo and 2007 E3 demo and I was sold. I knew about Second Life too and all the things that does, so I thought Home was gonna be a step above Second Life. It had so much potential and the social factor of it was huge, but when it came out, it was just meh. I was kinga hoping I would find my future girlfriend on playstation home, but I can't cheat on my right hand.
