We can't say we were overly concerned about busting through the Vita's 2GB monthly data threshold when the handheld's 3G variant hits AT&T next month, but the network, it seems, isn't taking any chances. According to the Vita's AT&T page, Ma Bell's making sure you'll never be blocked from nabbing those download-capped PlayStation Minis by upping the previously announced 2GB for $25 plan to 3GB for $30. Surprised? Don't be -- this change just brings Sony's next generation handheld in-line with the network's updated data plans. The Vita's budget-friendly $15 for 250MB option is still ripe for the picking, but that won't get you far if you plan to watch Netflix on the go, will it?
Still not worth it.

I don't know what Sony were thinking with a 3G Vita that can do close to nothing more than a regular WiFi one.

Wow, things really aren't looking good here. Why do they keep making all these bad decisions? 3 gigs for 30 bucks? Really?

And 15 bucks for 250mb? wtf?[/QUOTE]

It's in line with most carrier data plans. No matter who Sony partnered with, I believe the data plan was inevitably going to suck.

Exactly and that nobody really wants a 3G model anyways because it won't/hardly do online game play anyways so no point in complaining. Only the rich or the foolish are going to get the 3G model

It's not Sonys fault but it just doesn't make sense.
How many demos can i get with a 250mb quota? 1 or 2?

I think Sony could drop the 3g version completely and nobody would care...

You won't be downloading demos via 3g. 3g is for minis and their social networking platform.

WipEout is the same for us Aussies too, Its a digital download mind you and not a retail game card. So with the extra spent on the 3G you also spend more on a bigger memory card. But hey, you only live once and while you have money, enjoy it.

Where have you pre-ordered the 3G version from? I'm thinking GAME so that I can get reward points too.

Lucky you, I have to work, pay rent etc and then pony up the 500+ smackers myself for a Vita.
I dont really mind tho, SONY has won my respect over as a gamer multiple times with the PS3/PSP. I know itll be worth every cent..

If it wasn't for the GPS i would have gotten the WiFi version too.But i hate that the WiFi is missing the GPS hardware.I changed my preorder today only for that.Cause you never know what will happen when they start to make mods on it.

PS:Anyone has it yet?I want to know what mem card is using. And also how much a digital game copy will cost. Will it be the same as the actual retail one?
