It is close to 600 with 2 nav stick and a ps4 camera. So they are tricking a bit.

I found moves for 1500 yen used. That's like 12 bucks. The camera is 30 bucks. Even full price, they're not gonna be 200 dollars extra. Not only that, but the Bundle is 500 with an extra game (Playroom VR is free either way, and PSVR Worlds is pretty awesome too) So there goes your complaint.

Also, it's not fair to compare the "with Moves" price with Oculus, because Oculus doesn't come with VR controls either. It comes with an Xbone controller, while the PS4 itself comes with DS4 that, actually, is partly a VR controller The VR controllers for Oculus will probably push it into the Vive price range. .

- Demand will soon be higher than supply, and prices will be back to list prices or even higher.

-Buying used isnt really viable due to not knowing what you're getting.

-Your not taking the fact that Sony isn't listing 400 as price with tax everywhere.

Where I'm from, you'll have to fork up $560 for the headset alone. Camera comes at $50. Add to moves and a demo Blu-ray and that's $200 extra on top of the headset easy.

Meh. Get one now, problem solved. I plan on buying one in a couple days, since I only have 1. Already got the camera for live-streaming, though.

The move is hideously simple. A used move isn't a big risk like a console or PC would be. It's less of a risk than a NEW console or PC, too. It's less of a risk than a new display, so that means PSVR too.

Blame VAT for that. It's the difference between mostly capitalist economies (US and Japan) and more socialist ones (most of Europe) Japan gets in on the high price game, though with imports and Televisions, due to government regulations. Combine those two things, and you have Brazil, and Brazil is a terrible place to be a gamer.

Technically the US prices are higher than listed because we don't have to advertise the prices with tax, but of course the taxes are going to be higher in many countries. That's not Sony's fault.

So as a matter of fact, the PSVR goes for $399/€399 but Sony doesn't mention anything about tax being in the one price and not the other. Even *with* VAT, they're supposed to be at $450 and yet they are a $100 over that. I can't come up with a logical explaination for this.

This isn't import though. PSVR is sold officially in the European countries in question.

As the product is not made in Europe, doesn't it still qualify? It isn't made in Europe, after all. It has to be shipped from China to Japan, then from Japan to Europe.

With Brazil, Xboxes were a lot cheaper than Playstations (though still unreasonably expensive) because Brazil didn't charge as much for imports from the US, but they charged a lot on imports from Japan.

As for the software (which is printed in Europe) I'm sure localization costs factor in, but the biggest thing is the post tax price (which, again, US stores don't need to list and which is higher in Europe than ANY American state)
