Just to confirm it, someone on the official Playstation boards bought a PS3 without Tallegeda Nights.

And the first 500,000 units were shipped with Tallegeda Nights, right?

So that should mean they have sold over 500,000 units...

Anyone else bought a Ps3 without Tallegeda Nights?

EDIT: I don't doubt that Sony sold over 500,000 , they keep saying they want to reach 1 million units in NA by the end of the year...and 1 million in Japan...

I don't know if it took them long, this is the first time I hear someone bought a PS3 without that Blu-ray movie included...

I don't think that is confirmation, i would wait until game sites like gamespot or ign confirm that Sony has sold over 500,000 units.

I don't see it as a confirmation, but I just think they should be over the 500k units right now. Because the PS3s don't ship with the blu-ray movie anymore.

I thought it was the first 400k with Talladega Nights?

And hey, how come they had to package that crappy movie?
Why not something worthwhile? Oh well, at least it was free.

Well if more people are not getting Tallegeda Nights when they'r buying a PS3 then I would think that the PS3 has sold over 500k.

The first 400,000 units in America, and first 100,000 units in Japan. But we already know Sony sold more than 100,000 units in Japan...that was confirmed.
But the 400,000 units in America wasn't confirmed, and still isn't...I hope they will confirm the sold units soon after new year.

i doubt they sold 500,000 units. a lot of ppl didnt receive taldegan nights. But on the other side, they could've sold that many seeing is how sony's been saying that they've been doin weekly shipping. "Too Sell 1(or 2) Million World Wide Or Not To Sell 1(2) Million Units World Wide, That Is The Question"

there is no way there going to sell 1 million ps3s by end of the year unless they have a huge boom of ps3s which they not because that spouse to happen today. they probably did sell 500,000. my crappy esteimater in the sig is close to it.

You're not understanding very well. The first shipment gets Talladega Nights and after the first shipment there are no more. The first allocation is 4-500,000 total so when packages stop coming in packed with Talladega Nights it has sold past that point. This was the same with PSP when it came bundled with Spider-Man 2, I still have both the Limited Edition Spider-Man 2 sticker and the other one that had a completely different sticker and had no movie in it.

Yea I don't think they'll hit 1 million this year. I think the demand died down. I saw a few 60 GB go for $599.99 with only 1 bid on eBay last night .

I feel sorry for thos people who got 10+ and barely broke even after selling them all on ebay.

This is interesting, I wonder how much is going to show up next weekend. Next weekend is the 23rd so thats gonna be a big day for shoppers.

If they keep up at this rate, then they could sell 6million units in the US and Japan alone this year.

I dont think that means that the damand has died.
That just means that people are not stupid enough to pay through the nose anymore.

There is still alot of demand and a large buzz about the system.
Just talk to people, when they find out that I have a PS3, they are in awe, and always say that they want one and ask how I found it etc.

You mean Black Friday? Up here in Canada we do not have a Black Friday. The 23rd is the LAST shopping day for most people to get those gifts. Boxing day (26th) is our Black Friday, great deals at great prices.

Had sony actually shipped 400k from the start they could hit 1 mil by the end of the year, but I don't think it's possible to sell more than 100k between the 23rd and new years.

you guys they enver said sell 6million they said they want at least 6million shipped by march 2007, which is possible, in my mind only 5.5 million will have been sold by then
