I got the two piece horizontal stand. Today, I used a spare laptop cooler. I don't have a good shelf unit to put my tv and gaming stuff on but these two things make it stable
Temps averaged 95.8F with it not increasing that much. There is plenty of space around it. Is a laptop cooler a big no no?
I prefer to have black accessories and don't know when I'm going to change the plates.

I see you managed to find a solution to posting your picture here.

Since you are not blocking any of the vents on the PS5 it should be no problem doing it like this, I think. I can't really tell if the laptop cooler will help with the cooling, but at least it shouldn't make it worse. It looks like you have plenty of room around the PS5 too, so that's good. I've never tried anything like this myself (I have mine standing), so I can't really say for sure how well this will work. But form the looks of it, it looks like it would be ok.

I don't like the standing position for consoles.
Despite another (test) gaming time last night for 4 hours, it stayed around 95F-ish.

Cooling add-ons sometimes aren't the best / actually do much. I'm surprised your PS5 is having overheating issues.

If you live anywhere in the northern hemisphere, you could just put it by an open window. That'll keep it hella cool. Lol.

How is 95F overheating?
"According to CNET, the PS5 peaks at 35.1 Celsius above room temperature on demanding games. Further tests by GamerNexus showcased the PS5 system runs around 65 and 75 degrees celsius without issues. "
On the higher end that is 167F.
It may be similar to a PC but it is not one. Similar is not sameness.
I've no error messages. No "jet engine" as so many claim on any of my PSs and I've had all of them.
Maybe there is some luck to getting a higher quality PS. The only problems I've had are from the games themselves.

Yeah, 95F (around 35C) doesn't feel like it's that much at all. It feels pretty normal to me.

I have a human thermal thermometer which I know I got a flawed reading.
I just got this thing but I've had many laptops and PCs over the years. I know how to keep airflow good, clean, etc.
My room is fairly warm so the PS5 is going to be around that ambient temp.
Pretty sure they have a range of optimal temps and even a short range over that but from what that other persons tated doesn't add up.
