Final Race: Sunday 27th February 2011
Session starts at 7:30PM GMT

Race 8 Winner: GP-CiaN

Championship Winner: GTracerUK

Congratulation GTracerUK

Championship Prizes:
1st place: RedBull X2010 Cranberry or Matte Black (You can choose ;))
2nd place: RedBull X2010 S.Vettel
3rd place: Ferrari F10 or Ferrari F2007
The 1,000,000 Cr gifting limit that was implemented in update 1.07 has been temporarily disabled untill 3rd March due to people not being given enough notice. This means the above prizes can still be gifted in time before the restriction is back in affect. If you already have the prize car for the position you finished the championship in, I will allow you to choose any other car instead providing that I have the said car or if it's currently in my Dealerships.

Rolling start info:

  • After the free run we will all line up in a single file line in order of grid position and complete a formation lap.
  • There will be a 80mph / 128kph speed limit for the lap, anyone caught going any faster before crossing the start/finish line will recieve a 10 second penalty.
  • There will be no overtaking during the lap untill you have crossed the start/finish line, anyone caught doing so will recieve a 30 second penalty.
  • You must keep at least 2 car lengths apart, anyone seen leaving a smaller gap will recieve a 10 second penalty.

Rules:
  • Driving assists ABS, TC and Racing Line will be at drivers discretion.
  • If you accidentally ram someone of the track or you run wide off the track and gain a place in the process you should give the position back.
  • No first corner pile ups, as the race starts think and take it easy round the first corner.
  • Don't quit during Free run or the Race, if you crash and/or are unable to continue racing or if you're in last place don't give up and quit, keep pushing and you just might pick up a win, you never know untill you try.
  • You must make at least one mandatory pit stop, I will be reviewing the replays so if I see someone didn't make at least one pit stop they will be penalised with 25 seconds added to their time which should have been spent in the pits.
  • You can't change your car mid season, you have to use the same car from the 1st race to the last.
Regulation Settings:
  • Car Restrictions will be set to "Unresticted" but you must only use the Le Mans car that you had chosen before the championship started.
  • Tyre Restrictions will be "Unrestricted"
  • Skid Recovery Force - OFF
  • Active Steering - OFF
  • ASM - OFF
  • Driving Line - ON/OFF (For those that like it or don't know a track)
  • TC - ON/OFF (Mainly on for those that are using a pad instead of a wheel)
Event Settings:
  • Game Mode - "Free Run & Race"
  • Laps - Dependant on the tracks, will be the average amount of laps it should take for 1 hour of racing.
  • Start Type - "Grid Start with False Start Check" (Keep the brake on untill the race starts, because pentalties are off, anyone caught with a false start will be penalised)
  • Grid Order - "Fastest First" (Cars will line up order in order of fastest lap times in the Pre-Race Free Run)
  • Penalties - "OFF" (So we don't have any ghosting. I will be watching through the replays so be sure to race cleanly otherwise you could end up with a time penalty)
  • Grip Reduction - "Real"
  • Damage - "Heavy" (If you crash you will most likely need to make a pit stop for repairs)

The points system is as follows: 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1

NOTE 1: Each session will last approximately 90 minutes, it will consist of 30 minutes of Free Run for Qualifying and 60 minutes Racing.

NOTE 2: To make things fair, All the LMP (LeMans Prototype) cars must be untuned/stock when racing so if you have tuned your car you will have to untune it before each race, meaning you can only use stock parts and no upgraded parts, but you can do an oil change and change the cars settings and tyres.

However for the GT class cars as they are considerably slower than the LMP cars, I'll allow to be tuned, this should make the GT class and LMP class cars roughly about even in speed ;)

NOTE 3: You can only use LMP and GT cars like what's used in Le Mans today, other cars before the time of the LMPs like the Group C cars are disallowed.

Heres a few LMP cars and some that would class as a GT that you can use, there's more cars than I listed but I'll update the list as time goes on ;)
Premium Cars:

LMP Class:
Audi R10 TDI Race car
Peugeot 908 HDI FAP

GT Class:
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09 Race Modded
Honda Epson NSX
Honda Arta NSX

Honda Dome NSX
Lexus Bandai Direzza SC430
Lexus Eneos SC430
Lexus Denso Dunlop Sard SC430
Lexus Petronas Tom's SC430
Nissan Motul Autech GT-R
Nissan Woodone Advan Clarion GT-R
Nissan Calsonic Impul GT-R
Nissan Xanavi Nismo GT-R
Nissan Yellowhat YMS Tomica GT-R
Toyota Yellowhat YMS Supra
Toyota Castrol tom's Supra

Standard Cars:

LMP Class:
Audi R8 Race car
Bentley Speed 8
BMW V12 LMR Race Car
Pescarolo Sport Courage C60 – Peugeot Race Car
Pescarolo Sport Pescarolo C60 Hybride – Judd Race car
Pescarolo Sport Pescarolo-Courage – Judd GV5 Race Car

A nice idea in theory and one I'll definitely be interested in. Could be a few weeks after release before anyone has the required cars to take part in the race series though, my major problem is being able to do it on a certain day at a certain time each week as I'm a nurse and as a result I work different shifts and days each week

Any car and equal performance settings will be fine for me since i dont know any Le Mans cars... Joey, you should just run a FULL GT5 championship in which we can run categorized races in a rotation.

eg. Rally, Le Mans, Classics, Muscles, mixed etc

This. It would be much better to run an 'all-series' championship instead of having a Le Mans, Rally, GT, classic championship ect.

Once we find out the whole track & car list (GTPlanet will have one up pretty quickly after release) then we can start voting on tracks & cars. We're probably going to end up with two championships anyway unless by some miracle we actually end up with 16 dedicated racers .

Why would need two if you think we're going to struggle for 16? o_O

Count me in. Hopefully they have some of the classic LMP cars they had in GT4, the awesome Peugeot 905 and the sweet sounding BMW LMP car from 1999 in particular.

All GT4 cars are in GT5!

I've created a paradox!

Nah, we should be able to find 16 dedicated people who show up each week, but we shouldn't rule out the possibility of a second championship ;).

First come first serve!

I want to laugh at this, but we all know the Finn's are the best at rallying ;).

I refuse to accept the French are good at anything :snicker.

I'm also interested in this. Like what Smiler posted about getting a few cars together before attempting to start racing, is what i will be doing also. Also i like getting all my licences done(GOLD)before i start, and any other thing needed to race on certain tracks! When i have completed that stuff i will put my hat in the ring.

I'll just end up playing online whilst still doing all my single player stuff in between. Or vica versa.

Those 24hr races were a right pain in the backside, apparently you can save them when you pit this time.
