Meanwhile, Fortnite on Pro and XBOX has a 60fps mode...

This game was not ready for deployment on console...

those draw distances though... man, they suck. This has to be an avoid on base XB hardware, surely.

Over 5 million players on Xbox one. Seems like the majority are enjoying it so far. Kudos to those who like it. I’m not playing it but I won’t hate on it like others.

Yup I'm waiting till it leaves alpha development and goes retail.
It seems like that's going to be another few months. Hell, you'll probably be waiting all damn year.

EA and Activision definitely want a piece of the pie. They'll probably have a game out that's bigger, prettier and better than PubG by the time this game is worth a shit on the xbox.

MS wasted money on this deal. It's selling but to the current fanbase. It's not selling consoles. That's 2 for 2 time exclusive MS deals that failed to move xbox consoles

Yea, I’m betting ms is hating every milestone. Over 5 million in only3 months. That sounds like a wasted deal for sure..

People play it it because their friends are playing it.

I knew it was a game i wasn't going to enjoy but i still bought it so I could socialise with some of my online friends because my steam list is full of people playing it and one such friend showed me a deal so it only cost me £12 so not too much wasted.
I played 4 matches and killed nobody yet got down to the last 20 or less players just by me and my friends looting buildings, we literally did nothing yet were in the to 20 and we repeated this 3 more times that night. Yawwwn!

You say every milestone but so far keep mentioning the same one. Do we know how many people who bought the game on Xbox are still playing it? If it's on the decline, it means the player base peaked early, which isn't good news for an online multiplayer game.

I saw this past week it was still number one selling game on Xbox. Not sure about right now. Looks like top 3 on Steam right now.

By mid January it had over 3 million players and late January it had over 4 million. The That doesn’t sound like much a decline to me. I’m not a big fan of it but it’s been a big success. If I’m not mistaken, the game sold over 2 million on Xbox in the first 2 days.

The game seems to be doing well. You’re always gonna have some haters but facts don’t lie.

You know this coming out on the PS4 right? You talk like this is exclusive to the Xbox or something.

lol... and how is that? I don’t care if it’s coming out for PS4.

and how is that? Did I say it’s exclusive? No I didn’t. I really don’t care if it comes out on PS4 or not. I don’t even play the game but that still doesn’t change the facts about it on Xbox. Maybe you should remind the ones putting it down it’s coming out for PS4....lol

Plus PS4 gamers are playing Fortnite as a substitute and it's free.

Bluehole was pissed off at Epic Games over Fortnite. It was so funny seeing them being haters. It basically boiled down to "We're using your engine and paying you guys a lot of royalties. Pubg is the biggest game using unreal engine and you fuck us over by making Fortnite similar to our game."

Yea, and some of them aren’t because they are here envying PUBG..lol
Xbox gamers get Fortnite too plus they get PUBG. It’s a win-win.

So your point is? Has nothing to do with the reception it’s getting on Xbox being generally positive and it doesn’t change the fact that it’s one of the top games on Xbl right now, and has received awards and accolades.

There probably weren't any other notable Xbox One games having released in the past couple months. But, to be fair, it's not really Microsoft's fault, as the biggest games anyone seem to talk about release during the Fall/Holiday season.

I'm not arguing that PUBG wasn't successful because it was. My point is that since this is an online multiplayer game, it is more important that it is consistently selling well on Xbox versus just having sold very well early on. Why do you think games like Call of Duty and Battlefield release downloadable content year-round? Eventually, the novelty for PUBG is going to wear off for most people, if it hasn't already.

I think PUBG and Fortenite Battle Royal is just the "latest craze" but will eventually move on and be a thing of the past. I could be wrong, but you can only play that mode so much.

Counter-Strike's novelty hasn't worn off in all these years, that's because of gameplay. PUBG will do well into the future as long as they keep supplying new maps, to keep if fresh.

Also those who compare Fortnite to PUBG need to understand that while the gameplay is similar, one is cartoonish and is a 3rd person game. Also it's a F2P game to boot.
My bet is on PUBG hanging in longer.

PubG has way more bugs than Fortnite. Also the netcode is lots worse.
True. Though Fortnite came out on console in July as early access, PUBG came out in December as early access. Fortnite has been getting patched much longer. Hopefully PUBG is solid like PC after 6 months of development on Xbox. Based on the first 9 or 10 patches, the community has stated the game is much much better now.

I purposely am not playing PUBG until it's about 6 months old with patches and feedback showing it is stable similar to PC.

Eventually, this happens for all games. Who’s saying it won’t happen for PUBG in the future? I sure didn’t. I see them releasing downloadable content just like the other games to keep people playing. The game is thriving on Xbox live right now. It was a good move by MS to get this one. The community seems to be really enjoying it.

I am meaning the PC version.
