Question Regarding Serial Number for Recovery

Hello,
So I have tried asking Playstation and they are not helpful. So when someone is trying to recover their account, one of the ways support verifies you own the account is asking for the serial number of the console used to create or log into your account. I am very confused of what that serial number is. I have lost my original console I used to create my account. Will they ask me of serial numbers of old consoles or devices I don't have anymore?
Recently, I have also deactivated my old consoles and reset them to my current ones.
Will one of the serial numbers they ask of be from activated consoles? Will the serial number be from consoles I have been playing on?
If someone can please help me, it would be great!

i saw they gave a second option "the consoles that log into that account" This must be your current one.So tell them exactly what you are telling us.and give them the serial number of the one that you have now.I think this should work.
