Like the title states, rate the last movie you've seen. Whether it was in theaters, on dvd, or maybe a TV movie. Let others know what you think of it so we know whether to spend our time/money on it. Try not to give anything away though.

Mission Impossible:3

Just saw it tonight.
It was not good. Fine example of Hollywood! If you like this movie then you are consumed by Hollywood! Everything is show and the story is so simple that im going to give it a...

Well I've seen 4 in the last 2 days...

Three
3 people are stranded on an island for a year after their boat blows up, 3 people survived from 6 on the boat and it turns into a love triangle, but the 2 blokes decide to go caveman spear hunting at eachother...not exactly riveting but it was ok.

4/10 - Only because of Kelly Brookes, otherwise it's one to sleep through.

Borat
This has to be the comedy of the year, if not the best film of the year, I could NOT stop laughing throughout this film, travelling across the US, losing and gaining friendships, and the downright piss take of Kazakstan and every other country, it's just a must watch!

9/10 - Funniest film I've seen in a LONG time.

Dead or Alive
What can I say? DoA 2 is one of my favourite beat'em ups, shame the sequels are nothing special, but who wouldn't want a film with martial art fighting beautiful women? Only thing is it seemed like a rip off of Enter the Dragon with average looking women other than the one that plays as Helena, and Holly Vallance, otherwise there was no plot other than Kazumi and Ayumi fighting it for no apparent reason whatsoever, and Kazumi wants to go to the island to search for her brother, it's Enter the Dragon in reverse...not great at all but the fighting sequences are top notch either way!

6/10 - Just for the fighting and Holly Vallance/Helena.

Lie with Me
An erotic film about a girl that only knows how to sleep with blokes but has never known what it's like to love someone, after asking why her friend is getting married it puts thoughts into her mind, so when she goes clubbing one night she meets this guy that she can't stop thinking about, he starts two timing and ends up with, you guessed it, her. Predictable but it's actually a pretty good film, highly explicit nude wise (it's not a porn film) but it's story actually kept you watching, first time I could ever sit through and watch one.

8/10 - for a good attempt, not perfect but well done, you need to watch it to see why.

Xmen 3 - 6.5/10

Ordinary, mass appeal dribble.

They completely botched Juggernaught, and he is not a mutant.

Needed more story and less pretty lights.
I'm actually watching White Men Can't Jump right now.

10/10 One of my favorite movies.
I saw that film over 10 years ago...sure it's a good film but it's far from a 10, more like an 8.

I've seen it several times, it's just on ESPN Classic, so I'm watching it for the hell of it.

Ok, maybe not a 10. But a 9.5

Just watched Face/Off.

I'd give it an 8.5/10. Cool movie.

I saw Blood Diamond yesterday. I'd give that one a 7/10. Awful storytelling, good everywhere else.

L.A. Confidential, one of the greatest movie I've ever seen. 10/10. Perfect example of a noir film.

Clerks II - 7/10; A very good comedy with some original humor, but eventually fell into the cliche love story ending. Doesn't take too much away from it though, I'd recommend it.

The Island- I have to give it an 9/10. It is a great movie based on a realistic concept and makes you think about the future (20 years down the road). Scarlet Johanson is so hot in the movie too.

Deep Sea at IMAX. 8/10. Very good videography and humerus in areas, but when I go to IMAX, I expect the video to have more movement (ex: flying above the amazon river). The camera stood still to much

Title: Pulse
Notes: Another American remake of an excellent Japanese horror film that was "written" by the legendary Wes Craven. Although Kiyoshi Kurosawa wrote the original Pulse, it seems that Wes Craven has Americanized it and released it in the US as "Pulse" as well.

My thoughts: It was a cool movie, had some great effects and a lot of the same disturbing moods and imagery that The Ring and The Grudge often had, but seemed to lack a lot of the emotion that the American versions of The Ring had, which could be due to the Japanese directors not being available to assist with the American version as with The Ring.

The choice of talent was good, and the filming, effects, artists, and that sort of thing was all pretty much spot-on. My only complaints though were again, it lacked the "oomph" that The Ring/The Ring 2 had due to it feeling like more of an American psychological thriller than it did a Jhorror movie.

8.5/10

40-yr Old Virgin 9/10 Wish he would of boned that Beth Chick. That would of been the ultimate feel good story... It is Hilarious too.

The Man 8/10 Samuel L Jackson is the Man

Doom 6/10 Didn't finish it

Menace to Society 10/10 An all time great, a classic

Wedding Crashers 8/10 Great movie, but just lacks something that would make it amazing.

Blood Diamond
8/10

I am incredibly surprised with Leo, he has truly matured into a good actor. Between this and the Departed, he is very good.

Someone really should make a "Rate an album" thread where they review some of the best albums they have sitting on their record/cd rack or hard drive.

The last movie I watched was Hostel. I'd give it an 8/10 but I know a lot of people hated it. It's definitely graphic, but I was reading somewhere that places like that do exist and if that's true it makes the movie pretty scary to think that stuff could happen to someone. There is definitely one part of that movie that almost made me throw up though if you've seen it you can probably guess what part it is.

Happy Feet.
9/10 I really enjoyed this movie but I didn't like the choice of cinematography at the ending of the film. I also liked the variety of music in the movie. The soundtrack covers lots of genres and lots of eras.
