video for anyone who missed it

developed by Tequila Works

It is going to be an open world puzzle adventure game. I can't get over how amazing it looks, like ICO, Journey and Zelda: the Windwaker all in one.

This game really caught my attention when they showed it (along with Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture and Shadow Of The Beast). Can't wait to see more of it.

I really REALLY love games like this. Reminds me of ICO (which is probably one of my fav games of all time).

Does this mean Sony owns them now?
It means they own Rime, not Tequila Works. They are just the publisher for this particular game. Kinda like how Klei Entertainment made Mark of the Ninja exclusive to Live and Windows because it was published by Microsoft. Klei has tons of other games though, along with the newer Don't Starve, that is now coming to PS4.

My initial thought when seeing the trailer of Rime was "wouldn't surprise me if Sony bought this studio". But yeah they do not own Tequila Works right now.

Definitely caught my eye. I'll be watching this one. Here's hoping more games like this come out. As much as I love shooters I don't want another shooter dominated generation
So nobody else thought it really looked like the witness? At least the art style anyway.
I agree, the environment looks a lot like The Witness! This games looks amazing (and so does The Witness)...can't wait to hear more on it!

What do you say to a trailer like this? All I can manage is to slacken my lower jaw and let spittles of drool hang off the lip. Man, this game is pretty.

I think it looks nice and all, but it looks like such a blatant copy of SoTC and ICO (let's face it, aesthetically it's basically exactly the same, there's only a difference in theme). Or basically anything by Fumito Ueda. So much that it kinda makes it hard to like it. But we'll see I guess.

I almost didn't like Journey for the same reason (but atleast it had originality in some areas). I really hate unoriginality in games and movies =/

Ill def be buying this game. These are the type of games that wins awards. Many gamers wonder why Sony is pushing the indie game scene; well it's cause indie's think outside the box.

Well in this case they're thinking inside Fumito Ueda's box :D
Looks like an ICO Rip-Off to me.
Personally I wouldn't call it a rip-off, because they are trying to make their own spin on Fumito Ueda's imagination, but it's dead obvious that pretty much all their inspiration for this game comes from him.

Sorry, but other than some very slight similarities I don't see what you're getting at really.

This was my game of show the moment I saw it.

If it's not dead obvious to you, then I can't really say much.

The main character is a kid running about an open environment..that's basically where the similarities end. Even the art style is different!

*sigh* w/e dude.

The aesthetics, the general feel and mystery, even that thin bridge with colossal columns are copy pasted from SoTC (I bet even whatever that "mysterious creature" is, that turns up towards the end, while it won't look exactly like the colossi design-wise; it will a dead obvious inspiration from them- just like that flying thing from Journey). I could go through everything that's exactly like Fumito Ueda's games, but I'm really not in the mood to argue =/

Edit: To add to this; Sitting by the fire, very reminiscent of The Last Guardian. The shadow figures, exactly like ICO. The animations, very reminiscent of ALL 3 games (ICO, SotC and Last Guardian).

This is one of the games I cannot wait for. Loved the style and atmosphere. Sony showed a lot of intriguing games last week. It makes me wonder what is going to be shown during TGS.
