Wow. So no imports.

What's the problem? Don't like international consumers, Microsoft?
It could be that several countries don't support the DRM policies as well. Seems like a chunk of the EU is in grey.

Thay have Azure serves in those countries.
MS has already said they require the cloud serves to be "one hop" away from your location for latency sake.

Make no bones..

This is not a games console as we know it.

Revolutionary or Retardant.... I guess history will tell us.
And the hits just keep on coming. lol What a trainwreck Xbox One is.
Not convinced of that just yet.
I know MS can make some drastically stupid moves but this goes beyond that.

The reaction wasn't a surprise to Mehdi, though. In fact, he said a lot of the way people have responded to Microsoft's moves was "kind of as we expected." But the implication of his statements in an in-depth interview with Ars Technica was that this temporary confusion and discomfort among the audience would be worth it as gamers and consumers adjust to a console world without game discs.

"We're trying to do something pretty big in terms of moving the industry forward for console gaming into the digital world. We believe the digital world is the future, and we believe digital is better."

I don't think so. Digital is the future.

No one discounts that (and it's not like Sony doesn't ahve DD) - it's just do you jump too early and go full retard and false start?

Like mynd says, we'll see.

Make no mistake the PS4 isn't a Wii where it can't go digital - they just chose not to alienate people - that being the main difference. If they wanted to, they can do it.

It's definitely not too early.

So those others can't import because there will be no activation servers and you can't set it up to another country?

This is just a disaster... MS sort this out 0_0. No plans for Japan too? It doesn't even say in their asian launch next year that Japan will be included. wtf

Except for actual games. Which outnumbers Sony announced titles nearly a thumping 3:1

Are we still on about this! It has been announced that MS paid to have all those games to "announce" exclusively on the x1.......fact is almost all are still on the PS4....they were just paid off not to say so. So what is your deal.....you know full well Sony will have those games....and you know full well Sony has more first party studios....you are in complete denial. You can say they will have better exclusives or better services or whatever....but you know full well those 3rd party games are on the PS4 too....they just got paid not to "announce" it. I'm kinda sick of it. Like the xbone...play it....like the PS4 play that...or both....but we all know the truth....there are no more rumors.

Dude, Sony announced ONE new exclusive at their conference.
MS showed 4 multiplats not 14.
Everyone has games coming in the pipeline.

What does any of this have to do with the fact that if your not in a supported country you can't play the xbone? Stick to the topic...or make your own.

I was being told Xbox one gamers were getting a raw deal, which they are.

Except for actual games. That is all.

I forgot about that convenience. Will be using that from now on since many are already familiar with this tactic. :snicker
